In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. I absolutely love watching your channel because you explain what you find and then show us the process from dumpster or curb to your home to scrap yard Im 75 7ears old and used to do this a little until my scrap yard shut down but have a hard time scrapping now anyway, So I can sit back with my ice coffee and watch you. I didn't get mad at you, just questioned why you wouldn't get rid of the lights & plastic sheet, as long as you were in the dumpster, still one of the greats Mike, love the content & all the sayings.
Here in wales we strip the motors and get the copper out and the ballast out of the light fitting s dead easy
Some places have guards and I believe he's trying to get in and out as quickly as he can

Mike, my wife and I went shopping and I noticed some dumpsters in the parking lot I drove by wondering what was inside.
It’s a sickness :)
There used to be a time when older couples would go shopping together, the ladies would shop and the gentlemen would sit on benches in the malls and chat with other miserable men, wishing they were at home in their recliners watching sports. This next generation is going to have men VOLUNTEER to take their wives shopping and they’re going to drop them off at the doors and pull around back and socialize with their counterparts in the dumpsters. 🤣
I just wish retailers would leave them alone, and not care WHO gets their unwanted goods/trash and feel good about letting things be recycled instead of filling our landfills. But what do I know? I’m a 60ish y/o, still hoping for world peace. ☮️ 🤷🏻♀️ 💔

Mike, We always have several scrap metal trucks go by out house every week.
We put a water heater out last night and it's still out there after noon today.
I don't think the scrap guys can afford gas to just drive around and hope they find something.
We're in California yesterday gas was $5.89 for regular.

That ain't no battery, Mike. That bulb was not yet full of darkness. Bulbs do not emit light, they suck up darkness. So if it appears to be "lit" that is why. 😉 Keep on keeping on! The planet thanks you!

Mike like keeping on the down low, not giving dumpsters location away, or maybe a complaint about scavenging their dumpster lol
Probably for both reasons, lots of competition and I am sure that the there are other scrappers who would snipe his locations to start grabbing the good stuff he is getting. Also businesses who are not privy to him diving in their dumpsters but might get weirded out for one reason or another and start locking them.
Really some got angry for not cleaning the lights? You do what you want, it's your channel.

Clean up that kennel for 2 dogs...those XXL Kennels go for around $230-275 brand new. Maybe spray paint it black and sell it for $30-40. As long as there isn't anything wrong with it, it easy money!
