    • @MultiKamil97
      @MultiKamil97 Před 7 lety +5

      JJ Ambrose Absolutely no except Tim. Avi is not that good as everyone think. He's a good bass but definitely not the best and absolutely not better than Josh Turner or David Kennamer. Avi can go really low but it doesn't always sounds good because he does those low notes in first octave mostly using this growl or beatbox while Josh Turner (for example again xD) can sing a few verses in C2 and also sounds better when he goes low (Check out Josh Turner Hillbilly Squeegee) plus Josh's notes sounds more resonant than Avi's. I bet you're the fan of Avi and Tim so I'm not suprised but be more open for other basses.

    I'll tell you what, going into high school, I never thought my voice would get lower. I was a hardcore Tenor all throughout middle school. Then, freshman year I decided to try out the baritone/bass section and I am now a full time Baritone (According to my choir director). But all of these guys in this video really inspired me to keep working as my voice was changing. I am now almost 17 and i'm happy with my lowest note being are a C2 or D2 with my morning note being around a B1. Especially with my high chest and falsetto notes, I have become very useful as a bass, baritone, or even tenor. Change is a beautiful thing I'll tell you what.

      @inathh5243 Před 7 lety +15

      Unless you have perfect pitch, in which case it's even worse because it's not noise - it's still audible tones, but incredibly out of key. One of the last few of Tim Storms' notes was about 3 whole tones sharp.

      Mr.DOO Well, I have relative pitch, so I can distinguish the intervals between 2 notes pretty accurately. I developed a reference tone of A3 so I can tell what the starting note is, and then I can work out the ending note using relative pitch. It's not too hard to learn how to do, if you weren't born with it.

    So G1 is 49 Hz. This means that G-4 would be ~1.5Hz - meaning an oscillation that repeats three times in 2 seconds. That's not a note any more, and certainly can't be heard by the human ear. You wouldn't even know whether your speakers are reproducing that note (chances are they aren't though, because most roll off around 10Hz)

I've been trained since I was young, my ears have also been well trained, and I'm still young. I protect my ears as much as I can, heh. I could hear the 12 Hz note, but I had to put up my friend's extra bass headphones, turn up the EQ to a huge bass boost, then boost the bass on the amp, and then turn up the volume (which I hardly ever do..) First, there are microphones that can pick up those frequencies. Second, no, speakers can make a frequency of 1Hz; you can’t hear it because humans are generally incapable of hearing frequencies under 20Hz; even if you could hear it, (which is impossible) it would still be very, very faint. A speaker creates such frequencies by creating a wave every second by going outwards, then back in.

      Dislike Storms? Absolutely. Many people don't realize just where Storms functional range lies or why that even matters. Any natural bass can sing an audible full voiced D2 without a hitch. I'm not talking about vocal acrobatics or inhuman ability here, just normal bass range. Storms is already resorting to a small amount of vocal fry around D2-E2. He is clearly a bass- baritone and there's no shame in that, unless he's pretending to be something else. Now forget all that nonsense about placing 2 pianos end to end or how many octaves he's claiming this week. There are two facts found in the audible range that almost nobody mentions. He has never recorded a single note below piano range and he holds no claims for lowest audible note by a human. Some might feel that nothing more needs proven. I say he's not able to do either.

  • @misukiylambertson2764
    @misukiylambertson2764 Před 8 lety +180

    Everyone claiming to hit anything below A1 you're probably getting octaves confused, counting fry and growl, or just stupid XD. My music partner is a deep bass (very very rich voice) and he literally gets A1 barely. Everywhere he goes people are shocked by his feel ass voice haha. I myself am a vocal/music major and a tenor who can inch to E2 or D2 and that's far from easy to achieve haha.

    • @misukiylambertson2764

    • @molassascookieman4596
      @molassascookieman4596 Před 8 lety +20

      I have never heard of a tenor who can hit D2. You might be a baritone that has a very good high range (you would sing the tenor part and no one would know that you were a baritone). Also anything below E2 is officially a basso profondo as the definition of a bass involves a range of E2-E4 chest voice. Anything below C2 is unofficially considered an oktavist (or octavist), while the official definition is literally a full octave below a bass (E1) So while you're right that just about everyone who says they can reach A1 is mistaken or counting growl/fry (my own growl range is F1-B1) but there are a few people who can hit it with their actual voice.

    • @misukiylambertson2764
      @misukiylambertson2764 Před 8 lety +4

      I meant anyone in the comments. Also my E2 isn't choral ready. I only can project F#2, I'm a singer who uses a Mic mostly now so I can range flex. As well I'm not a baritone cause my passagio is G4 haha where as my guitarist who is a baritone has his at F4. As well I can belt to the sky (to the point where I stopped thinking about range haha) but I have tbe vocal sound and tone of just a run of the mill low tenor.

    • @molassascookieman4596
      @molassascookieman4596 Před 8 lety +11

      Ah you're right about the people in the comments. A1 takes a low bass and you basically have to sing for your whole life (I'm working towards it myself). Don't be so hard on yourself. In reality baritones are the most common. Any kind of tenor (or bass) is less common (even though choirs will use baritones as one or the other).

  • @OffsetSolidmusic
    @OffsetSolidmusic Před 8 lety +9

    That last note couldn't/shouldn't have been G. The song was in F Major, meaning you would've been hitting the 7th. It was probably A, because I doubt it was F. Also it couldn't have been -4. If it was, that's very abnormal. I think it's at most F -1. Not -4 though. That is so incredibly low I don't think a human could hear it.
