7.92x57mm Mauser isn't exactly the best round for piercing Cold War heli's armor plating.... it's basically the equivalent of small arms fire which is exactly what that armor plating is meant to protect against

The video example would have destroyed the helicopter or damaged it so severely it would very soon crash.
@ATruckCampbell If it was Kevlar sure because the woven material would bend and deform.... But a steel plate won't give a shit if it's one or 5,000 rounds if it lacks the power to do damage. Why else do you think we use steel plates for targets?
Yo - what about the D.371 H.S.9 ? The french 1.3 with two 20mm autocannons? No idea if you have both it and the french top tier, but that boy could work. Those 7.6mm aren't doing much.
If you want to know something fun to do. Take the Ho 229 into higher BR games. Games with lots of Missiles available. Because teh Ho 229 can turn so well. You can actually evade lock on missiles with ease.

I don't think most those missiles would be capable of locking onto a biplane in real life as they were IR guided and in real life IR missiles have trouble with with prop planes unless they are using turboprops which get quite a bit hotter then standard props.
