you can buy a used tire changer for $500 , makes no sense to pay $400 for a $50 machine upgrade.
$400? Nope.
Kind of funny.. every video of this "machine/tool" the users forgot almost always at least one part of process. Some forget about to position the back end of tire in the deep groves.. some forget how to use the bar.. some scratch the tire with the cross fastener.. some don't use lube.. some don't use the whole bar for leverage, specially when "brake the tire".. etc.. etc.. This one forgot two things, on was to lube the tire and specially, the plastic cover.. it builds up resist-ants with the rim without lub, the other was to fasten the tire before the Luicid tool.
Funny how the tire changer is cheap from $60 to $80? But the actual smaller parts that REALLY help you are $399! 😂 I just checked on them now in 10/16/23 and that's what it's going for. This is 3 year's already.
Cool but not going to pay 429 dollars for an attachment. I'm gonna wait for a 20 dollar Chinese knock off.
i will not pay that price either when i only paid $42 for the main unit
The days of BYOT (bring your own tires) are pretty much over. Practically all the shops in my area won't install tires customers bring in, you have to buy your tires from them and have them installed same visit. Of course they will upsell you on new tire pressure sensor valves, citing liability issues if you don't want or can't afford them. If you don't let them change your valves, they won't mount your tires, even if you do buy from them. If you buy tires from them and leave the store without mounting them and bring back another day, they won't install them. Period.
your turning it the wrong way, thats not how you use the hunter duck bill head
You could have one made about $30 worth of steel
WHY IS THE DOT MATTER
I like the satisfying bounce sound at the end of the newly replaced and inflated tire.
This is awesome. Also note "No scratches no nothing" while he dings the rim with the bar.
Way better on the alloy rims, thanks so much for the share!!!
Nice!! So much easier than the stock H.F. tool!
Very nice video. You look like a pro with that thing. I'm going to get one to rotate my tires inside to outside to increase my tires life. My tires usually wear on the inside tread only. Thanks.
Way to go Clint! I have been changing my own tires for years! I think you invention is awesome! I would like to see you do a video of changing a tire on newer 4runner TRD 5th gen wheel.
Awesome video! I just bought the Harbor Freight tire changer and didn't even know this duck bill was available! Will be buying that next! Thanks for the video!
What a useful film! I did my 5th tire today and when putting a new tire on needed to watch some more details: I forgot that the whole Duck Bill (head and tail) should be above the tire. For some reasons the tires I have don't go on without a Yellow Hand. It is R16 tires. I even don't know if I'll be able to change R15 (we have on one car those (2001 Saturn SL2)). Thank you and Bless your heart, Sir!
Nice extension to the harbor freight tool
