    thanks for tutorial. My router is in basement and outside of the basement 100 or less, away I have a studio that I used eero mesh to bring the wifi signal to this room. I installed a reolink camera and it works fine when I am in the studio , but when I try to look at my camera from outside , it does not connect! I ordered tp-link mesh wifi extender. should i put the extender in the studio or next to my router in the basement?

    I wonder, plugging a device into the ethernet port would do what exactly?

  • @renatoescalianti6763
    @renatoescalianti6763 Před rokem +1

    For the price point in Brasil, it's cheaper to extended the network with a proper router, like the "5G flagship" C80 or the C6 for a few reasons: the TE450 can NOT switch the channel and uses the same as the main router, causing overlapping networks to become extremely slower. On my tests, with a link speed that was running at 300 Mbps, after turning the extender on, all of the network would loose almost half of it's speed.
    I only recommend this if you are gonna use it with an RJ45 cable where your main router doesn't reach AT ALL and you want a simpler solution. Even in this scenario, I would recommend another TP Link router, as most have been updated the firmware to allow as Mesh compatible devices (if you think this is good, ofc).

    Hey I set mine up a week ago and all was working fine. now over the last 3 days my pc cant find the 2.4ghz channel anymore only the 5ghz though my phone can see both. its causing trouble as i game and the 5ghz is not solid and my connection drops but it was perfect on the 2.4ghz. Do you have any idea why that would suddenly happen

    • @NewParentsInTraining

    After 2 years is your unit still working? I had one of these worked well for a week, then I turned it on in the morning and it stopped working. I don't know if it's because I turned it off at night and turned it on in that made it stop working, no one could tell me what went wrong. I did return it back but anyone know why it stopped working?

    • @NewParentsInTraining
      @NewParentsInTraining  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Still using it, though every now and then I had to unplug and relocate to a different area. If I do that I MIGHT have to reset it again for some reason.
