- Welcome back to DBK Productions.
This is going to be a little bit longer videos than usually, but there were a lot to cover in this conversation.
In this video I will be taking bunch of parts from newer audi a4 b5 facelift model and transfering them in to my prefacelift b5 Quattro.
This was pretty easy, but I did not manage to get the fog lights working.

Wait how do you pull out the heater button unit how does it clip in?
For the radio installation, I can't tell if you re-used the radio trim adapters from your pre-facelift aftermarket radio installation or bought new ones. I have a 99.5 A4 (facelift) and all my research shows that you need different adapters. Can you please explain? I having a tough time finding the correct adapters here in the U.S. Thanks (and BTW, very nicely done video).

I don't understand the part where you used a wire from the 12v to illuminate climatronic. Did you light up all the climate buttons or only the central display??

i did everything like you on video, but when i turn lights on ..ilumination is blinkig...do you know why? and when i conect it without wire 6 the display is allready lighting..please help !
Could you please specify your problem more in depth with exact information, I can only try to help if I fully understand the issue. Also what exactly do you mean by wire 6?

how did you wire the rear defroster
Sorry that I overlooked this step. It's real simple. The button for rear defroster on the pre facelift has 4 pins, brown (ground), blue/white (12V ) these are for illumination and then there are two smaller gauge wires (smaller gauge means that wires are larger in diameter) both of them are color coded the same on the plugs on the back on the new ac unit white/yellow, it is very hard to miss them because it's a independent connector behind the ac if you stop the video at 6:20 you can see it on the left (black plug with two forks) and you wire the yellow/white wires from the button to the connector on back of the new ac. Nē, tur vienalga. Neiesaku mēģināt mainīt konsoles, salona sensors nestrādā ar facelift klimu, jālodē vadi priekš logu atsaldētāja un no migliniekiem vari atvadīties ja migliniekiem vadības blokus neprot pārlodēt.
DBK Productions vai jau esi savienojis vadus priekš pastāvīgajām miglām? Lieku iekšā vidus konsoli no prefa bet miglas vajag. Ja esi to izdarijis vari izstastit kur kadus vadus vilki?
Svieks! Audi esmu pārdevis jau kādu laiku. Miglas tā arī neievilku, jo auto aizgāja uz autosportu un nebija nepieciešams. Es Jūsu vietā ieteiktu iegādāties atsevišķu releju un vadu komplektu, auto veikalos tādi ir pieejami un nav pārāk dārgi, noteikti neieteiktu censties orģinālos blokus izmantot, jo var sanākt visādi, bet ja ievilktu jaunus vadus un relejus, tad tas būtu daudz drošāk un vieglāk nekā mocīties ar orģinālajiem relejiem un miglas vadības blokiem.

I like the prefacelift better
I wish I had left it, switching things up really messed around with quite a lot. I do prefer this look better, but car probbaly could have been better without it. Thanks for watching! 🔥

Иван Милков Hi! There are multiple reasons. For one you have to cut a lot of the original wiring. Defroter has to be done that way, as well as fog light switches. It would be probably easier to wire in new foglights independently than changing fog light module and and doing all the wiring anyways. Iluminaton for dashboard and all the accessories like cup holders and cigarette lighter also requires extra wires to be added and extended, nothing besides ac unit and radio is plug and play. Trim pieces also dose not fit right away it requires drilling few holes. Facelift and pre facelift are very different in a lot of ways and not a lot of interior peaces fit one another without adjustments. If you had anything more specific you were interested in please ask. Just remember thay you will need pretty much every center peace with all the plugs for them.
DBK Productions as for the look, the old is better in my opinion.
