Thanks for this video, woke up to no water. Checked the breaker panel, no blown circuit. Cleaned the switches and it worked, thanks! Gonna have a plumber come and replace it, but have water for now. Really appreciate that.

Can't thank you enough sir, I honestly thought it was my pump and it turned out to be the capacitor. ( something i'd never heard of) I found a replacement for less than 10 Euros. A lesson learnt, all fixed and ready for Christmas thanks again and Seasons greetings from Lithuania.

Little fuse makes a separate pump protection module similar to the Franklin pumptec protection device that senses dry running (low current), motor stall (high current), high and low line voltage. It can be mounted separately between the disconnect and the pressure switch. It can be used with any control box. My older Franklin box does not have a provision to mount a module internally.

Thank you for your video. Helped me troubleshoot my issue and save me a service call. Ended up being the capacitor. Not exactly as you described, ended up having dried powder drip marks out the top.

Good Afternoon Joe! Thanks for your kind words. Has your pump stopped working? That's no fun. Let me know what you're up against. Bye for now, Steve
P.S. I've got a complete water well course online that teaches how to change a pump if you need to. You can see the course here: baileylineroadlearning.com/p/water-well-course

Thanks for the video. A couple of months ago after I had checked all of the things you mentioned there, I had to spend nearly $800.00 to have the pump pulled. The pump was fine but the electric lines to be pump had failed. After they were replaced the pump worked fine. Unfortunately, I think during the process some iron producing bacteria were introduced so now I have that problem.

I would have also mentioned that some models of meter can test the capacitor directly and also, that it is well worth while to test that electricity is getting to the well head. The electrical failure may very well be between the home and the well head. That can save pulling the pump.

Great information. Thank you. My problem is I have air sputtering from all my faucets. The flow of water volume and pressures are fine but spits air every 10 seconds or so.

"So we really are...Dead. Which is what we wanna be." Hahaha. I know you were talking about the voltage being at 0.00, but damn that was funny; after you wanted multiple layers of safety. Lol. Great video man.

IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: a pressure switch will usually not get that burnt and full of carbon on their own. You may have an underlying issue like bad pressure tank or a constant leak somewhere (could even be down the well). Check your pressure tank when drained and it shouldn’t feel full of water, if it is then it’s bad. If not full of water then check the schrader valve stem. If you pressure switch is 40-60 psi then the air needs to be 38psi. These bad things things cause your switch to quick cycle and can ruin your new pump FAST!

Great video! Found my problem blown capacitor. Do I have to replace the entire control box when that happens? I was looking online for capacitors and It doesn't look like you can buy just the capacitor or am I wrong? Could you please point me to a place that would sell them if I am? Thanks again!

I have no water coming out of the faucets. But pressure is fine. I think it’s around 40 psi. I have 2 wells. I have 2 water pumps. How can both pumps fail at the same time. Any help will be appreciated. Please help.
