This is exactly why I love Milwaukee Tools! Milwaukee is always innovating and delivering good, quality tools to the folks in the trades. I work in Property Management and in maintenance and my toolbox is ever more red as the days go by! Thank you, Milwaukee for being nothing but heavy duty!

Steve Timm you'll be calling the drain guy if you own this tool
@@louietheplumber3609 as a plumber of 23yrs I totally agree with you 👍
I have to agree

Good one bro
I just laughed my ass off hahahaha

Just bought one of these because no one would help me with a clog I tried snakes chemicals and hot water it would not get rid of it. So $450 later I came home with this and after I ended up using it at its highest limit it pushed out whatever plugged the pipe so bad. It feels good to be able to do laundry and take a shower again after 3 months. Best $450 I ever spent

Just used this for the first time today on a clogged tub. Worked fantastic! In and out of there in 10 minutes.
Im an hvac tech and have had my eye on this thing for months. Even cleaning drains almost daily i just cant justify the price tag right now.
I like the C02 gun by Diversatech
Look up Drain Dawg. If youve got co2 or nitrogen tanks you'll loove it ✊
I just had a plumber use it on a bathroom sink drain that had rising water from the airconditioner. One shot and it was done...3 minutes. I may buy one of these...pays for itselt in 2-3 plumber visits.
What $400 that's cheap plus its a tax write off . Oh you probably don't pay taxes
@@tonyrico967 why would you assume i dont pay taxes.
I have one of these but made by General. It rarely gets used, because it rarely works. And if your lucky you won't get sprayed with whatever is in the sink. The problem with these is most of the energy goes up the vent and not down the drain, also when it does work it's very temporary as it usually will only pop an tiny hole in the blockage and not actually clear it out. This tool is completely useless on a kitchen grease blockage. The only place where it can be used successfully is a basin drain and a floor drain.
Good luck guys.
Great information. Thank you.
That's why he clearly demonstrated that you block the vent
@@SilentPhantom007 he covered the overflow, not the plumbing system vent you twat
@@SilentPhantom007 dejean, you've never used one, Clearly. Use one when the drain is blocked and there's water in the sink. See what happens.
I was thinking the same about the pressure going up the vent.
I just bought this and I can say it works really well. Long story short my bathroom has a shared pipeline with my neighbor's bathroom and they have been flushing tampons down.
FYI, the reason you need to add water even if there's none in it -- is air is HIGHLY compressible ... but water is NOT. So you can't transfer the force unless theirs water in there.
Would be nice if this demo was shown on transparent pipe set ups
Yeah for sure, it’d show the pipe blowing up eventually.
czcams.com/video/n7C2p3L0_S8/video.html
but then you could see its questionable performance
When used to unblock kitchen sink drain and kitchen drain has a dishwasher drain connected to it.
Do you disconnect dishwasher drain hose and cap dishwasher drain connection on kitchen drain before using AIRSNAKE?
Some of guys have these told me how well they worked was going to buy one. Got a call awhile back in apartment building ended up having sinks piped back to back the mess was impressive.
I wish that worked a 100% i don’t see it clearing a clog past the vent pipe or if it does it’s only gonna push the clog further down the drain
Be great to see a demo on an actual clogged drain, no way that works on a kitchen sink with soap and grease.
I use a non powered air plunger and it works. Just got the new one last year. I had one years ago and family and church members used to call me to avoid a plumber bill. Wish I had known about a powered one when I got my new one. With my health conditions it hard to pump the air into it to use.
It works awesome. It’ll either unclog it or blow the pipes apart.
Kinetic rams have only worked for me once. The rest of the time it did nothing and I just ran a snake. A few times it blew apart the drainage and I had to cut the wall and rebuild it, after the third blow apart I never touched the tool again.
Won’t it blow the trap right off??
Some of you are totally missing the point. I don't think this tool is meant to clear clogged lines where vents are in place...the pressure will blow out of the vent if it's upstream from the clog. Same for clogged toilets. Now, where is this tool useful? We live in Puerto Rico, where flat roofs with drains buried in the walls are all too common, and it's not unusual for one or more drains to clog from leaves, crap or mango pits falling in. We usually put a coil of coat hanger wire in the entry to block the mango pits We just had a clog, and it looked like the problem was tree roots blocking the pipe at just below grade. We were getting ready to bust concrete and dig it up when I decided to call the local company that specializes in this work, they showed up with one of these Milwaukee guns and in 5 minutes they blew the drain clear. A rusted off piece of wire had entered the drain and miscellaneous junk had formed a block behind it. Snaking or ramming it accomplished nothing....it looked like there were at least two elbows in the way. The Milwaukee did it in two shots. The right tool for the job is hard to beat.
Thanks for the info. I was thinking to get one of these as I deal a lot with clog toilet bowls. mostly tissue and used tampons.
No, the air goes down the toilet first releasing the clog. I’ve never had a clog in a toilet this wouldn’t dislodge
I been clearing drains with my shop vac. Sucks the clog out. Easy . . . Usually.
That is usually the method I use to get dishwashers to drain again.
Great way to blow the p-trap off.I have been there
That is my worry..
I think that's why he keeps stressing "low" pressures like 15psi. Seems kinda spendy to me and I'm a tool nut.
If the pipe comes off its not the tools fault it was that damaged
How dangerous is it for connections of pipes, what's the chance to break pipes?
Seems like a great tool, but also a way to blow the pipelines loose
Thats what i was thinking
One of my coworkers has one. For every bad scenario there's 50 drain calls that we were in and out of in under 30 min. Better than hauling in a messy rigid machine.
Go easy with it, the adjustments are there for a reason.
please demonstrate on actual plugged sink
They removed the pop up stopper to clear the bathroom sink. In reality most sinks have a pop up stopper, so you’d have to remove the pop up assembly while it’s filled with water pull out the Pop up then put the assembly back on without the stopper to run this tool.
Id use the universal tip he mentioned
1:12 sorry but all you need to do to snake a bathroom sink is to remove the drain stopper by taking loose the pop-up lever and pulling the stopper out, run some water so you can see when the clog goes away, then just run your snake right down the drain.... I am a plumber, so take my advice.
Might be a stupid question can you blow out the PTrap off ?
My wife sure can according to her brother
What's the risk of the clog coming up another drain?
They should let this guy do a video for every tool they have and that should be his only job
When will you be making a M18 cordless vacuum pump?
Milwaukee makes a M18 cordless transfer pump.
3:53... Will it keep you from having to pull a toilet or will it blow out the wax ring?
All that built pressure will escape burping through the vent lines
My thoughts exactly. I have double sinks in my bathroom and the clog is up the pipe in the wall that both sinks drain out of. I used an expansion plug on the drain pipe on one sink to seal it off, and used a drain king on the other sink drain pipe hoping it would build up enough pressure to clear the clog, but instead it came straight up the vent pipe and poured out onto the roof of my house. I'm thinking about getting a inflatable bladder to put into the vent pipe to seal it off and try it again.
I need one of those! I still have the manual kind 😔
Manual is still better.
Looking for plumber. Hvac guy here. Does it work well? We have drainlines we clean. I use no2 or co2.
I love this Air Snake!
Wonder if it works for when someone takes an oversized dump and plugs up the john
Any idea if any of the attachment have a 90 degree bend for a urinal?
What about working on a laundry drain that backs up? This is a long drain, will it work on it?
Have issues with the air pressure building up but week blast any idea what’s wrong ?
Can you please send a message to social.media@milwaukeetool.com, so we can look into this?
Where has this been all my life.
Wouldn't the air just travel up the vent?
If the clog is in the drain, no, but if it's deeper, yes
Don't u think you should check to make sure u have the right attachment before u build the pressure up in the tool.
How many drains are blown apart with this tool
This video is super informative
Where's your PPE safety goggles?
3:49 that is not a plug or and/or a overflow drain hole… that is just a drain hole for the water bottle filler…
No way !!! thanks for the great information
This would also be good for dryer vents.
Never thought of that... thanks
Probably not enough volume
This tool is very useful
Love it. I need one for my channel
Hello Darkness my old friend
Is it too much to ask to release this in the UK?
Does it work on HVAC drain lines
How to blow up your plumbing
Pretty sure a company like Milwaukee knows better.
Air will only go up the vent or out the other sink where the boss is putting make up on.
he said can clear up to 35' down the line? WHATT? that's fat capping. Especially with a vent in line the pressure will just go up. I just don't understand the logic. And if the pipes and loose or about to fall apart the will just explode from this.
Sorry bro running cable is the most effective way to clear a drain then of course jetting if necessary this tool won't sell not to professionals
True that. This is more of a "Homeowner" type of tool. If that trap is weak under the sink and the air blows it apart he is gonna have a mess!!
This video does not actually show us that this tool solves any problem. There is no before and after demonstration.
Seems like it would cause more problems than solving just the one.
so basically an air compressor with an adaptor. got it.
Over flow tube in sinks? Plug by hand? Noticed example sink did not have one. Odd.
hey Milwaukee why dont use spend an extra 30 bucks or so for a clip on mic.
about time you make an enema
Love the tools guys
I'm getting one💯💯👍👍👍👍👍👍
Where's the pop up ??
Is this available in the UK?
Pneumatic Rams have been around forever
What is generally the best PSI to go with when starting off??
50
@@codybersicc7939 lol that's definitely wayy too much, even on the box it doesn't say that.
How can I find it
Only a maximum of 50 PSI... I want my sink destroyed dammit!
Would you actually pay for this tho? Chinesium bullcrap
Вантуз изобрели?
A tidal wave?
If you don't know about the piping structure under your sink, the cost of replacing the sewage pipe is added.
Not bad.
Great video!
Too much talking need more of a demo of the tool being used
that would require someone who uses tools for a living.
Was very much so overpriced but it worked for us.
How does this remove a clog that is past the vent line without blocking the vent?
He blocks it with a rag
@@GeddyRC No, the roof vent.
Wow so you guys stole the idea of the air compressed co2 drain cleaner and made it electric.... Amazing
Does this work on toilets?
Yes it works, be ready for the poop to come back and splash your face
I’m gonna take a Nefarious shit and try this out
Why do you need that AIRBLAST volume to start the video? Hate it. Didn't watch the rest of video
I just bought this because my toilets are always clogging and a plumber is like $300 per visit, I think I will get my moneys worth w/ one use
Could just buy an auger. if clogs further down than that and keeps reoccurring there's most likely a larger issue
Can I convert to nerf gun?
no way that clears the shit out of the drain well. just pokes a hole in it... like 90% of the time a lav drain is clogged is because of hair thats right at the drain. hows the air snake going to break free hair?
not to mention possibly blowing out rotten pipes prematurely.
I’d buy it if Milwaukee made a head for the condensation lines and that would be the only application I’d use the air snake for.
You know for a fact that you would need a drain snake for heavy hair clogging, which Milwaukee makes. Use the right tool for the right job.
I can’t be the only one that wants to try make this into a potato cannon
Repeat that application until you give up then call a plumber.
All this tool does is push the clog down to get jammed up again only harder to clear
If the plug is down in the vent pipe, I don't think this will work
Good marketing. Not showing people they have to climb on the roof and clog the vent lol
you put 50 psi down a bathroom sink you're blowing the trap clean off
That's why you start at 15 PSI, which will usually unclog the drain.
Its all fun n games til it blows apart a weak ass coupling or a crack inside the wall on a 40year old property
The air pressure would go straight up the vent.....
This is the comment I was looking for
Yeah
2:30 repeat that application until you start to see water coming out the toilet bowl.............
This is great for half the price I can buy a 30 dollar drain buster type on eBay that will do the same without that cost and size
Clearly this is for real plumbers who work with the tool frequently and quickly make her the job done effectively and efficiently not for a one time use home project🤦🏼♂️
@@supdougs4487 REAL plumbers wouldn't waste their money on this gimmick either. It really doesn't work as advertised
Wouldn't it work a lot better if it shot water instead of just air? Plus, $450 for a little air compressor with a little tank and trigger seems like a lot of money to me. Just sayin'.
The pressurized air moves the water that is already in the drain. So it does exactly what you just suggested.
New ones on ebay for $300.
Push fit plastic waste pipes 😬
$400 for a plunger?
By time you finish putting in the air, 1 or 2 plungers, I can have the toilet unclogged already.
No it will blow air up the vent u dont know qhat your talking about
Tiny potato launcher
I don't know about you guys but I've had the f****** trap completely blow out 😆😆 My suggestion never do this
Yeah don’t do something as simple as pull the P trap. Buy this $2-300 tool instead lol
If your a homeowner just looking for a way to unclog your sink or toilet whenever it needs to be done, please don't buy this. the guy in this video is clearly high as fuck ( look at his eyes!) You'll cause way more money I'm damages than you spend on the tool
goooooood i am no 1
Huh, making a big deal out of something so irrelevant. Typically, I'd see "First" as the first comment.
