I'm glad you addressed this. I've been saying FOREVER that it's not the channels: it's the pot stirring commentators that give their life meaning by making someone feel crap. Note to those: if you're having a crap day, stay out of the comments and fix your life. Nothing ever comes across well in text-the READER also has to take that into account.

Have you ever thought of auditioning to present children's programs? I've watched a couple of your vids and you have the facial expressions etc that would really appeal to children. I watch a real mix of debunkers and paranormal channels but I stick with them because I like their personalities and the communities they generate. Poisonous subscribers can do so much damage with their firey, misguided opinions (they see it a loyalty) and I'm really sorry that some little twerp has got to you. You don't deserve it. Keep doing what you do, we'll still be here to support ❤️
You know when people say I know exactly how you feel? Yet you know that couldn't possibly understand it? I understand you on many levels. The drama can take its toll on the ones who don't even like it. Some love drama because it gets views and they eat it up. You have never been that way and I try my best to avoid it as well but I do address it occasionally. It feels different in debunking compared to 2 or 3 years ago. In the end you know what's best for you Dan and I'm always around if you ever need an ear.
Mr Grey, I'm basically a new subscriber maybe 2 or 3 months.
I would like to state that first of all actually having paranormal encounters with family members (who are livid detractors of the same) witnessing what was going on and had to eventually admit that something was maliciously attacking me and my mother has made me a complete believer of the paranormal.
These events took place in 1987-1988, I'm 42 now so you can do the math.
With the advent of my personal internet access in 2002, I have ruthlessly persude information and feedback on the paranormal, events, locations victims and mythos. The first set of years being blind belief in ANYTHING I saw (to my shame in this day).
It slowly dawned on me that editing, effects, audio manipulation and even choreographed scenes were a large majority of these videos. I could tell but I didn't know how to explain they were fake in technical terms.
I saw a video where you explained you worked in closed circuit cameras for 10 years, and not only explained phenomenons, you showed some video proof (I can't remember specifically). You were also the first I saw to point out items being pulled in one general direction by the "Ghosts".
This has helped me in my quest to understand more, reaching the point where seeing ACTUAL believable videos (believable, doesn't mean real mind you) has been more impactful on me and my beliefs. You and a channel called JohnWolfe I believe have educated me vastly and I appreciate having the freedom and confidence to screen potential REAL situations.
Please don't give up, you are an online personality, you would have clashes in beliefs and interpretations in what was said, implied and actually meant.

Man that really sucks, ghost hunting and ghost debunking is supposed to be scientific and to try and find out some truth one way or another. It's sad to see it twisted into what is essentially teenage drama bullshit of " oh well he said this about you" and " she did this and then told such and such about that" at the end of the day, both debunking and ghost hunting can be flawed and get things wrong, but it shouldn't be just lies and drama and bollocks. For what it's worth I really hope you keep on debunking, been a fan for a while now and you are always entertaining.

TBH I’m not watching debunking channels as much since a new channel started a couple years ago and seemed to start the trend unnecessary drama… You are the only channel I’ve joined because you don’t get too involved or change your views on what you believe…. I know it’s not much but just think about continuing debunking because you’re the only one I will watch and it’s been so educational… Take it easy, big hug 😊
You were the first debunking channel I found, about 3 years ago now maybe? And I was so excited because I didn’t realize there were people out there like you! It felt like everyone just blindly accepted that ghost videos were real, and while I was a skeptic and knew the videos had to be fake, I didn’t have the technical knowledge to know how they were doing it. All this to say I really really appreciate and enjoy your content, and if you stop making videos I would really miss them. On the other hand, if you have to do it for your own peace of mind and mental health then good on you, you gotta do what’s best for you. But you will be missed!

I hate how people like to stir the pot and talk on behalf of people when they have no idea what they're talking about. Of the all the debunkers you are my favorite, you were the first one I started watching back in October of 2022, and I still prefer your channel to all the rest, most I don't watch, mainly because of the drama, but your channel tends to be fun and more light hearted about it all, and I like that you don't get so personal, like some do, your more respectful towards them, even when most of them don't deserve it even,
And I don't have anything against those other debunking channels either, I like Parrple and Beardo a lot, but I don't watch them as regularly as I do yours, mostly because I have so many channels I try to watch regularly, some I have been watching for the last decade, so I don't always have the time to watch every channel I subscribe to, but I keep subscribing to a lot of them, just as a way to support them, even if I don't watch them them much. It's not because I don't like them, just don't have enough time in a day to watch them all!
So please don't stop debunking, but if you do, I hope you keep making some kind of videos, I mean I will watch you even if you decide to branch off into other subjects! I like hearing your take on other things too, not just paranormal videos or channels, even if it's just other strange things or movies or tv shows, it can all be more entertaining having you talking about what you think of whatever it is!

This is the first video I have seen of your channel but honestly debunkers like yourself, Mythos, Beardo to name a few are needed as a "voice of reason". Paranormal Investigators or "Ghost Hunters" (like our channel) sometimes need to be reminded that everything isnt a ghost. If there is clearly something in our videos that can be debunked we debunk it there on the spot but sometimes a more in depth look is needed but on the other hand calling someone flat out fake from the limited information a video can provide is a bold claim so I could understand why someone saying you did that would make you so upset. Not everyone is going to love what you love doing thats just the way it is but you just gotta keep moving forward 🤘

Dan, don't let this come to your heart. I strongly suspect that this commentor referenced to the video you quoted and misunderstood your intentions; he probably thought you were sure about Ghost Theory and was not out to offend you. Please don't consider stopping debunking, otherwise the fakers would have won and one of the few good channels on CZcams would be gone, you are always a voice of reason. You should comment and react on anything you ever want and don't care about the drama and hate you might get back; as friends of mine sung in their song: "Everybody knows, you don't play games with trolls." You did a lot of good for me and others by showing how fake these paranormal videos most of the time are, and you can be very proud.
And to us as the community: it's never good stirring drama, and it does not help by pulling the name of others into it. You are allowed to state your opinion, but don't say :" Person XYZ thinks the same" when there is not a video of this person clearly stating this (in which case you could link this so that others can make their own opinion on this statement). Don't use others as your shield to bolster your arguments. And consider this: just because a debunker has debunked a channel does not mean that they fake their stuff... they may just may have misinterpreted things and jumped on the paranormal explanation too quickly. So be very careful when saying: "Debunker X called Channel Y fake!"

Do you find it that things are getting more and more "evil and nasty" when anyone apposes someone ? I have been in the paranormal field since 1985, 15 years of which as clergy. The amount of fabricated, maipulated and blatantly faked footage especially on YT is amazing. People have become devoted to anything paranormal related, and get so mean vile and nesty when it gets exposed. Its not only in thie field of the paranormal, it is everywhere. Our world is such a different place, hate is enabled, deviants are enabled and good people are not treated as criminals. I began debunking and calling out many on YT, as well as People like Jason Hawes. Sadly you cant make a dent when it comes to a lot of them. Even though I personally know how much a a fake Hawes is, know many of the past cast, friends with some, and have inside knowledge of the fake stuff. People refuse to see whats presented to them as fact and listen to these fakers with complete devotion. Baffling to me. Keep up the good work, it must be exposed for what it is when the fakers put it out, it DOES hurt people, whether they understand how or why. God Bless....Rev Rob

My favourite video of yours is when you showed how a 'my house is haunted' type video is faked with masking and editing. There are not enough videos on YT showing the fakery, I would love for you to make more!

I am not a huge fan of GT. However, I don't think they purposefully set out to fake anything or set up fake scenarios. Do they over-react to situations? Yes. Do they tend to jump to "it's paranormal "? Yes. But that's normal to most people. I can't say they are like the "truth" investigators but they aren't fakers.
My stance on debunking content as someone who believes in ghosts but is EXTREMELY sceptical of all "evidence" that comes out (my stance being that out of all the videos ever made only about 1% are probably real) is this.
I like your channel. Your respectable and kind during your videos. You don't mock the creator, you don't shame them and you don't try to cancel them or ruin their beliefs etc. Your respectful, kind and for the most part give the benefit of the doubt and are open to having a real conversation (I mean look at your video with Ouija Brothers for example)
HOWEVER!
There are many in the debunking community now who seem to take joy and make their whole lives about ruining it for others. They come across as very mean spirited to people who honestly don't deserve it. Its one thing mocking someone who is very obviously fake and doing it for views etc. But I have seen people take innocent videos of people who think they may have caught something or channels like Ouija Brothers who are just a group having fun with it and these "debunkers" try to ruin them. They mock their religion, the fact they believe in ghosts, say its 100% faked for views even if its not and in some cases even try to get them cancelled for some odd reason.
As I said its one thing when its clearly someone exploiting a celebrity or recent death etc like the guy you brought up in your videos. Its also fine to mock or criticise someone who punches out at debunkers first or preaches their stuff without listening to any rational reasoning. But to target a channel or just a post on someones timeline and mock/attack everything about them just because of their beliefs is silly.
Again not saying you do this hence the disclaimer at the start nor do many other debunking channels. In fact I follow many who like you do it perfectly fine. But for as much crap as people give the religious side or believer side for going after debunkers in comment sections, I feel like people forgot the opposite is also true. That many debunkers or debunker fanbases ALSO harass or bother people who DO believe and are just going about their business.
My opinion is this. Stay out of the drama. Let the hate channels attack each other and let the rational ones talk it out between themselves. You have no reason to get involved or stop what your doing neither do the ghost channels who behave have any reason to do the same. We need more conversations between the communities not vitriol.
It would be much better if instead of attacking one another, the serious side to both communities worked together. The ghost hunters do the hunting and the sceptical ones check the "evidence". The ghost hunters don't have to believe 100% what the sceptics find but it could at least help them mitigate the obvious stuff. For instance you and the Ouija Brothers. Sometimes they over react because the excitement and fear gets the better of them and they lose their composure. You set them back in their place and kept them level headed and brought them back to reason. This made it so much better when they did catch stuff you both had trouble explaining because you debunked the previous stuff.

Don't be put off by trouble makers. Some very bored and very boring people have nothing better to do than to go between channels and stir up drama. The rest of us love what you do, please keep going.
