You're joking aren't you? Todd broke her heart by almost having a baby with her, almost getting married to her then running off with a man, causing her to have a miscarriage. She had a drunken one night stand with Jason, which developed. Eileen was always awful to Sarah, especially the way she treated her when Todd ran off. David tried everything to sabotage Sarah's life, including almost killing her child.

David was pure evil back then I don't think anyone could realistically feel sorry for him and he did it all just to torment and destroy her and the family being all happy to see him.
David did a lot of horrible things during his teen years, but a lot of that came to a head here, Sarah eventually became the evil sibling, becoming more concerned about herself than others, including her own husband
