Love the fact that you show the fails as well as the success. Great job
You wife is smart. She offers great advise and asks good questions like, “What’s a blue banana?”
This is EXACTLY what I’ve been searching the internet for for weeks…..Thank you Sir! I can now build my house and rec ponds. 🙏🇦🇺
I like this guy. One of the most hard-working CZcams content creators that I know. He doesn't just review products, which I find a bit lazy of many creators. I might as well turn on the telly and watch QVC instead. No, this fella actually makes stuff !!
He got me interested in aircrete and, now, he comes up with this. I hope to own one of them very soon. Thank you !
I like just watching you guys interact... "I just like watching you some times I forget to record"... glad I found you....Thanks
you are SO lucky to have a wife to support what you do!
Aloha HDC, You have just created a great avenue for a hundred projects! Keep it coming. Dome forms are a huge step closer to creation. Thank You, Thank You!!!
Make a cheap pvc geodesic dome wrap it in either saran wrap or shipping wrap, then spray on aircrete, voila!!!
I love how you answered her question and explained how to use a extension with a tapered tap. Your a good teacher. 👍
Love how the 2 of them work through the trial and errors together and in the end have a well functioning applicator. He’s a great listener too.
Darwin, remember I mentioned a product that can be sprayed on a surface called Cork Spray? You just invented a unit that would apply that with ease. The unit that is used for Cork Spray costs about $4000.00 and requires a big air compressor. I need to research this to see how it works. Awesome idea my friend.
right on, we needed that. ever thought of doing in on cardboard or other materials... i would consider testing that with 3d printer for home construction in the tree of a life innovation center, we are looking for the budget to finance this.
Absolutely great idea! Looks a lot less cumbersome than that heavy thing you were working with at the last workshop. Great application density. It didn't pile up in one spot.
So freakin' exciting! I like the effect of your StuccoMate invention without any troweling; that pattern looks really great just as is! I'm thinking about buying one, and I don't even have my land yet! Keep up the GREAT work!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!
As in all DIY, it's all a matter of trials until you perfect it. It's also nice u have a perfect mate in ur trials & making nice coments & suggestions. Thanks & keep it up.
Hey y'all! This popped up again, so I watched it again. Ya know, while I was watching this time, I think I like the splatter pattern better than it smoothed flat. It brings some character to the panels, used for a shed or house siding of course. Hope y'all had a Happy Thanksgiving! 🙏❤🇺🇸👣🤗
Love your inventiveness. Thanks for sharing!
This is awesome. Also, I've been meaning to say that I like your hat. Thank u 4 ur time & research 4 affordable inventions 4 the working class. And , as always, I love watching & listening 2 the banter between u & ur wife. U guys r so cute together. What a team.
You are a good guy. Honest and true. I enjoy your videos. You do great work
I’ve watched so many DIY videos on so many topics and they all have the same theme... a refined video of the end result showing none of the troubles and issues along the way. I have never commented on one before either. I thoroughly enjoyed this video and laughed my head off at the bumps and bloopers along the way. It had more of a back yard, figure it out with your buddy feel to it. The fact that your wife is your buddy is even better. Keep up the great work. You’re on to a new “reality”.
You got a quick and confirming validation on the pickle jar. That was awesome. Thanks for the content and your time you guys!
Awesome video. I enjoy watching your process of development. You are lucky to have such a supportive partner. Great tool even I could make that work and have the application. Keep them coming.
This couple is Soo cute!!🙏💙 And great application! Thanks
Your wife asked a couple of questions that I had of my own she asked him right about the time I wanted him answered so that was good I liked seeing this side of you guys and also I thought the texture of the final product toward the end there look pretty good just by itself I don't think I would have troweled it out.
I said the exact same thing. I like that rough look, it would be great for roofing if you collect the water, it would filter out the water on the way down. Very interesting.
That was so funny that i laughed and laughed and laughed some more, after seeing that one tiny smidgen of concrete that landed on his face, that resulted in the creation of a DIY Marlyn Monroe stylish mole on his face. Ahahahaha!!
No seriously, that is a very groovy idea really, the walk through showing people the possibilities that can be achieved even on a low money budget, and your effort to find such a solution that works with lower pressure systems. Thanx for sharing.
Keep the rock alive!
why not use a $30.00 dollar texture paint gun and 2-inch rubber elbow to get the angle right I don't need to reinvent the wheel!!!!! It also has an adjustable spray nozzle and works 200% better and is low air Wal-board sells it at Home Depot with the drywall tools.
The holes may be too small.
The design is different.
But they sell his 400 thing for 50 bux
Necessity is truly the mother of invention. Good job brother.
Brother D! You just plain ROCK man! This is Awesomeness! God Almighty definitely put in you that "Gift to Create" like He does👍👍
Yep, he did a great job with his latest virus, didn't he.
What a good guy. Love this guy!!
Great Invention. Looks like it works great.
Awesome idea! You really did nailed it! Big thanks for sharing with everyone! Wonderful atitude in those times:) And it really make so big diference when you build something with yours own hands - so much easier! You are an angel
Works exactly like a handheld drywall texture sprayer that have been around for 30 years or more. The drywall texture sprayer has a hopper and uses air also, they are less than $100. Did you try one? Is yours built differently?I love your channel.
Hey John I’m trying to purchase a gun from him. I can’t find how to do this lol Any ideas?
I really love your try and error. You don't see that in other videos!
Thanks from Puerto Rico for sharing!
Do you lay awake at night thinking of these things?! I have watched a number of your videos and am totally impressed with the ideas you come up with and make work. This reminds me of a wall texture applicator, but on steroids. Way to go my man. Great video. Thank you, take care and stay well.
Brilliant!
Excellent video, thanks
Get one pf those Huge Feeder Trucks to supply tour hand held applicator....
Easy Peasy !
Liked/Subscribed !
Maybe try a plastic drywall texture gun, same principal, not very expensive. Already built, adjustable spray pattern, low cfm, lighter weight, bigger hopper, with bigger opening (if it starts getting too heavy, don't fill it all the way).
You are the most motivated youtuber I ever seen 🏆
Good ideas gets my grey matter going I’ve seen shotcrete spayed on they used a huge funnel and most of parts made with metal pipes that’s basically just a down sized one great going
Brilliant! They designed those massive hoppers/compressors, I guess, to reduce man hours but they've gotta be heavy...tough to work for hours being extended out away from the body. Great work, thank you!
Fantastic!!
Love it, you could be my brother from another mother. DIY aircrete, hands on DIY R&D. Keep up the research. Video Suggestions, woodcrete, and polystyrenecrete. Cheers from Canada.
Fantastic!
Looks really useful. I need to make one.
You both are awesome
I truly enjoy your projects! Please use your safety glasses properly as you are an example of doing things correctly.
Thanks again for the content 😊
Fantastic great to see more making of equipment 👍👍👍👍 keep it up now for the ice cream maker replacement 😂🤷
Awsome idea for fast diy stucko. I would prefer the full size tube and only fill half way if too heavy. Gives the sprayer more flexability especially if you dont have a helper to keep you stocked. Great video.
Awesome! Thanky!
Great, Thanks
Adding an insert is an excellent idea - thanks! Have you thought about adding a small but useful side handle near the feed end? Maybe a loop 'D' handle? Think fence post tool where you have two opposite slid handles to ram the post. Just use smaller, lightweight handles...
Thank you
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with community Diy
Another excellent tool from the DarMel Evolutionary Laboratory!
I think aircrete awesome I'd like to build a 1500 square foot house out of that stuff
You guys are so funny. Great info too!
Good job guys
Now put a handle on the black pipe to help control it better .. And possibly a 6 inch piece of longer pipe for spray nozzle for comfort .. Looks and works good ya'll .. Will this spray aircrete or just stucco ??
Fingers crossed. Might pop the bubbles though.
and maybe square off the end so it can scoop out of trough better
@@MrRockrobstr Yeah, maybe find a square/round, plastic downspout fitting that would fit and square off the top.
Very Good!!!
I agree awesome! A great tool. I want one. Thanks. 👈😁👍💞
Hey Mr and Mrs HoneyDo Carpenter ...wow you did it again! Nice device and design! Good Job! I have been looking for something like that for a while! Keep up the good work! From St. George, Utah!
I forgot to ask if you made a Air Crete mixture or stucco mixture? Can you spray Air Crete and not collapse the bubbles?
I have looked everywhere for you guys on the Internet and then asking in the other channels if anybody knows what happened to you guys.
I miss the honeydew Carpenter and Mrs. honeydew!
Great work
Great video
great work guy!
@Honey Do I made mine a while before this video. Use a 90 degree connection rather and drill a hole on the outer bend towards the exit nozzle end for air connection. This allows for a far better flow rate and you can use smaller and smaller ends that allows for better pressure buildup and flow through and you can easily add the hopper to the other end of the 90 degree piece. This way is much cheaper and much faster and allows you to fit a longer pvc "nozzle" on the exit hole to be able to aim better. So instead of 8-10 pieces this allows for 4 pieces only and is more efficient and less waste.
Post a video on your device . Thanks !! 🙋🏻♂️🥳
@@BlueOriginAire I believe my explanation was good enough don't you think? I am sure you can puzzle it together from what I have explained, don't need a video for something so simple.
Kazy Kamakaze A picture IS worth a thousand words. MUCH easier for most of us to understand.
You should make your own CZcams video, showing your way.
Very nice inventing there. You're a regular Da Vinci! I kinda like the texture pattern before you knock it down. Or you could just gently knock down the tops of the blobuoles and make a 1920s stucco pattern.... :)
Awesome 😎
Great job this is real product development and some pretty good suggestions in these comments. Keep this up and you will be rich selling the final product that must be molded in one plastic piece. Molds are expensive but you can make a piece like that ever 10 seconds and the get very cheap to make. Contact a plastic injection molding factory and let then in on the deal. You can get a nice royalty.
"I don't know but it's big" hilarious !!
Thanks sir
congratulation...well done.
very cool
Idea with refillable container was so clever and convenient! I thing that leaking occured when you have applied pressure.
Maybe you should use in that place of connection pcv plumbing pipe connection piece with rubber seal - cartrige would fit better with a sealing and better stay in place. Then your oryginal idea wouldn't have to change.
I Love it! Your the bomb!
Here’s a thought, I’m not sure it would work. If you attached wire lathe to the outside of your shipping container and then sprayed on your aircrete, wouldn’t that provide some needed insulation for your shipping container. You could then use your trowel to smooth it out for a nice finish. Let me know if you think that would work. I’m thinking of building a container home, and using aircrete blocks for the open spans. Thanks.
great team, well-done tree of life approved, it's the future brothers and sisters... 4real...lol
Just like my projects. I have to make modifications during the first run to get what I want. Improve as we go.
I flipped a bleach bottle over and installed my airsprayer nozzle and spray handle to it. Made another the same way and used an air chuck/sprayer. Scooped well and applied material like this. I'm all about helping others and not into charging anything for it.
This is a pretty good idea. Only change I would make is to add a handle to the side of it for scooping material and holding it securely while using it.
Not bad.
The stucco sprayers are over priced. I got one for 150 and found that if I plugged 2 or 3 nozzle holes it works work well without a monster compressor.
If you have a scaffold or something to hold your mix above you in a plastic drum (NOT DIRECTLY OVER YOU) you can install a flex hose to the bottom of the drum to the nozzle and cover a big area quick ! Swimming pools, roof tops, vaults walls.
I used it for faux stone work. Sculpted Roof tops. Pool, waterfalls, etc.

Cool man... I want its
Nice invention m, perfect for my floating foam pontoon
Are you using an aircrete core for the pontoon? Any worries about moisture intrusion? I have been thinking the same thing. Great idea.
This is great $100 you say, I like it
Wow.. it finally worked.. anyway 2 years ago I gos a stucco mortar blower that was manufactured in Belarus for lest than $100; single nozzle that is very much like what you built, but is disappeared from any source that I can find on the INTERNET, so yes, you show a good alternative.. I'm using it to spray on a layer of light type white wash (silica sand, vermiculite heavily limed with 1% borax mortar) based coating onto the basement rafters and limestone rock walls in an old farm house , for mold and fire retardant.
Dude, you are amazing...
Perhaps allowing spray to set up a bit before trowelling, gets a nice Spanish Lace finish...Just Sayin' thanks for sharing...!
I have thought of similar ideas with a feeder hose for the stucco. Either pressure or gravity fed. 5 gallon bucket on top of a tall ladder platform. Or a tripod lift, very moveable. A small verion of the cement buckets they use on high rise buildings with cranes. Might need a funnel cone on the bottom before the feeder hose. Pressue could happen from something like a cordless drill, allthread and a plywood plunger. Perhaps air or hydraulic driven also. Simplest would be gravity.
Brilliant. What a great idea.
I have been wanting to build a hot tub and was wondering how I could spray the cement mix onto the wire frame.
Thanks for the answer.
Hi this Emil you are the best man on the planet Earth
Cool . didn't look like a fail to me . good job 👍
Well that’s pretty neat
Hi HDC,
Great make!
Thumb up & shared!
Can you talk / vid more on the compressor used?
In your opinion, the least cost and effective for this setup?
Thanks for inventing and sharing!
Keep 'em coming!
Just liked and subscribed. Well deserved.
how about buying a texture sprayer for drywall mud and using it for spraying aircrete it looks about the same consistency
Genius
I bought a stucco sprayer for 100. It's gotta have a lot of air pushing it.
I messed with a gun sort of like you have here a few years back that worked ok. Used a bleach bottle upside -down to feed the stuff.
What a great idea, I guess it will work with plaster too?
I will decide which size to get and then You will be sending one to San Angelo, Texas so that I can take it out to My fun zone in Luther, Texas and play with projects!
really nice. maybe put some nozzle guard in the front to control the dispersement i think. well done.
The only think about this I would change is to get rid of that blowgun and use one I can mount near a sturdy handle with a flex line or a bent copper line or something. It just looks like the first thing to break is where the blowgun connects to the body of the hopper and a good sturdy and ergonomic handle would make it easier to hold longer. This is really cool tho man I don’t mean to knock it just my thoughts on improvements. Some kind of securable stand that the gun comes out of would be good for loading it by yourself also.
You could use masking tape to draw brick patterns or other patterns
Who is the commander behind the camera. She's pretty funny... telling you what to do... giving you suggestions... then stealing the show with HER thumbs up. Funny stuff and great video.
