Thanks, good video. I was diagnosed with scleritis about 3 years ago, eye doc prescribed steroid eye drops and Ibuprofen. She actually suggested Alleve, but I found Advil to work best, but I have to take it every ~6 hours. If not, the pain becomes debilitating! It slowly went away after a few weeks and since then I've only had minor bouts, up until last week. I'm currently in the middle of a bad one. Using lubricating eye drops and Advil to get by. Seems to be getting better after a couple weeks. Wish I knew what caused this! I do not have any signs of arthritis, so I seem to be in the unknown cause camp.
You should have mentioned although episcleritis is not "harmful" it's important to find the root cause such as lupus or other autoimmune issues.... You make it sound like it's not a big deal when in actual fact it could be a bigger problem, not necessarily with the eyes themselves.
I am from Pakistan and have scleritis from last two years its very pain full but unfortunately unable to find any cure. is it trearable please guide if anyone knows
hi. i have scleritis. i do not which type but it is not episceritis. i used cortisol eye drops that helped a little but then had to stop because i am a stroid responder. when i stopped the symptoms came back. now i use oral perisonol i think they are called. 25mg now. i still dont feel better. i have this condition for 4 months now. there are no autoimmune diseases as far as i am aware. whats next? thanks
