Better being on land with the size of tyres on your tractors. Lessens the chances of punctures. Did a great job burying most of the trash considering the amount and height of rubbish, plus the boards weren't nice and shiny to start with and you'd never used it before. Make sure you oil it up if you're not using it for a while. The chipper guides I reckon we're £40 each?
Looking forward to seeing the plough working when it dries up a bit, it will cover the ground quick but you will end up with massive headlands, tractor pulled it no problem at all, congratulations to you both on the news of the baby ❤️❤️❤️
@@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer Hi Olly we had 2 ploughs one was a John deer and the other I think was a georgire Besson. I worked on a farm in Kent and we parked up the plough in 2001 min till for a few years then been direct drilling.
Amazing how the pre em worked ( good idea to leave a control area for comparison 😂) the plough is a beast for sure. I thought it would take ages to shine up, but looking good after first pass. £150 for guides, thought knives were very reasonable at £4
So... The Merlo is really good for the environment, and doesn't emit the diesel particles whilst you're working with it.! It just spits it all out at once for 45mins, every now and again.!🤣! LOVE THE VIDS.🥰🥰... KEEP'EM COMING.🤞🥰... RICH(UK).🥰🥰🥰.!.!.!.
Congratulations to you both. You look suitably pleased! 77 year old etired head teacher who wishes he was a farmer. From Southwell in Notts on our way to the Cotswolds for a break. Feeling 90% although apprehensive as wife is in M&S at To see park at the moment.
I was looking at our osr today after your video yesterday and the difference in sumoing it and direct drilling. We "sumo" all our land before sowing and our osr is really looking good, large, dense crop which you can't even see the tram lines lol. Very happy with it.
wow olly that plow is huge the biggest one i have ever seen o our farm we have a 5 furrow plow and that looks big until i have seen yours. Nice to see what youtube can really do for some people congrats
Thanks for poping my mrs bithday on the bumper really made her day , the FENDT in black looks fantasic well worth the effort and congrats to you both on the little person !
80% another great vid. I remember setting up an old conventional plough with a guy called Bill Gwillam he was an ex world match plough champion an amazing amount of energy and some great tips on setting up a plough which to be fair could be useful when setting up the reversible plough. Biggest I ever got to use was a semi mounted 6 furrow Dowdswell pulled fairly easy. It was amazing how different makes of plough pulled differently some hard some easy.
With the merlo, you’ve got the same in your car, basically when you floor it it clears out, unless you have a car that does it automatically (usually when you turn it off)
Nice to see that the pre em has worked, I've had a similar 'trial' on our land a few years back and you couldn't see the difference between sprayed and unsprayed. At least you can see some value for money in it.
Not a bad bit of plowing for little or know setup and rusty boards as well .Should put the old vintage massey in front of that plough as if it was pulling it.and take a photo of it.lol 🤣🤣 🤣 Congrats to you both on yr great baby news. That will take yr mind of the trsctors for a while.🙏🙏
Plough was doing a good job seeing that it was rusty and was trying to bury two foot of weed growth. Ploughing was always my favourite job on the farm, I found it very satisfying.Looks like all the pivots on the plough etc could do with a good grease. Is it Mr Pemberton coming to see you tomorrow, just a guess.
I'm old school. Not convinced with the adblue approach. However that is one hell of a plough. Really impressed with your ploughing skills, unlike the worms. 🐛🐛🐛 🤣🤣🤣
Cracking video olly, that merlo stores the soot in the dpf, when it's at a certain level it wants to re gen so burns the soot off at 5k degrees . Great looking plough better get it done by the weekend before it rains. 98% seeing that plough. Tom Pemberton or Richard from Dove farms.
Alright there lads. This, in my opinion, shows EXACTLY how powerful tractors actually are.!🧐! If you were to remove just ONE of those blades, and try pulling or pushing it through the soil using just your arms and legs, you wouldn't get very far would you.!🥵! Never mind the depth of the furrow, the amount of furrows, and the speed at which the tractor pulls it. That's a lot of work coming from burning the remnants of some long dead tiny plants and animals eh.!🧐🤔😲🤯! It's amazing when you actually think about it.!🤯! LOVE THE VIDS.🥰🥰... KEEP'EM COMING.🤞🥰... ( My boss is in the US where they wanted to charge $250 for a lateral flow test that you get free from the NHS!!!)

Well the plough worked! My guess is you’ll need the blue dye as the size of the little arm and hand looked more like a little boy. My wife and I were very lucky as we had one of each and they’ve both turned out well with the only slight snag our little girl, well she’s just turned 40, lives with her other half Olly, just south of Perth in Western Australia! But my son daughter-in-law and their two children live just three miles away. So whatever baby turns out to be it will be the best thing in your life so I hope you and Charlotte enjoy it as much as we have.
Please wish my boyfriend, Brian, a very happy birthday for Thursday 25th. He loves your videos and lifestyle! He'd really appreciate a "hey" from you 😊 Thank you
Great video Olly.. 95% today… nice seeing the 936 pulling that 10furrow dowdeswell.. back in the day I used a Case Magnum 7240 Pro with a 9 furrow Gregoir Besson plough.. could of done with a few extra ponies…😁

Love the plough Olly, lot bigger than the 5 furrows I'm used to 😁. Looked like Black Beauty pulled her easily too, hope it doesn't put you off the quadtrac tho... Seen Tom Pemberton on the news, him and 2 nurses lying in a trough full of cold water for cancer research. Maybe next time your field by the farm gets flooded you could invite them over and join them for a dip 👍
100% great video Olly…. A lot going on!! The ploughing was great because the 936 took to it really well considering the weight of the plough and conditions….. does this mean you’ll be of for the 🇮🇪 National + international ploughing championships 🤔😁 P.S. I know nothing about ploughing 😀
Great video,, that 10 furrow Dowdswell looks mint behind the 936 & did a remarkable job burying all the trash.
Yer tbh it did
Glad you liked the plough , I was keen for a go but didn’t get time , richard will be pleased it worked as it should 👍
Yer it’s set for on land I think 👍🏻

With a rotary tiller
That Fendt 936 is a beast, didnt even sound strained when pulling that 10 furrow plough
Brings back some good memories when I ploughed thousands of acres with a 12 furrow in the USA in the 90s.
The 936 doing what it does best.

Awesome ploughs them Dowdeswells. Another sadly long gone British brand. 936 payed with it. Love to see if the Case can handle it in the dry
Yer I think it will
Enjoyed the video that plough is mega! and does a fair job by the looks of it considering the conditions and the rust very impressed 👍
Yer will go well I think

Yes more to a plough than they look

ploughs are great for burying weeds. helps get rid of weeds for a few years

First time poster! That plough is quite the toy, strangely looks in proportion to the 936 too 😂
Welcome and it’s made for it 😁
Is that better for the environment a machine sitting revving flat out for 45 mins!?
And all unnecessary wear on the engine, just ridiculous.
Lets put Adblue in our machines to make them cleaner...oo lets make thousands upon thousands of plastic cans to store it in too.
