I picked up 3 atropurpureums this year and am very pleased with each of them, although 2 are still showing a beautiful red/pink color - the third is showing more brick hues like hefners red. I love all of them.

How are you finding watering at the moment? I'm in Hampshire and we haven't had rain for about 6 weeks. Bit of a nightmare!
Great question Tommy, I’ve been filling up 400 ltrs of water barrels and watering every 3-4 days. I then put about 300 ltrs in one go and give them a real drenching! Would love for some free rain water mind you! Thanks for posting. Carl
@@Japanesemaples 3-4 days sounds about the same as what I'm doing - a very heavy watering. Glad I seem to be doing the same as you!
