Fr, while it is good for shy/quiet people to learn to stick up for themselves, people can't expect them to walk into a head-on confrontation/argument just because thats what they would do. Especially since chloe n that already clearly knew how Leah felt, they just kept doing it because they knew Leah wouldn't say anything. I'm not saying they calculated it like that, since they're probably not bad people, but thats the reality.
People are allowed to have different personalities. Just like loud people are allowed to be loud, quiet people shouldn't be treated with any less respect just because they are reserved or dont want to communicate in YOUR way. Like Fanum said, everyone could clearly see from her body language she was upset but they don't want to respect it because she didn't communicate how THEY wanted her to even though she obviously did actually get her "communication" across, just in a reserved manner.
