I always amazed about the doors, they are such a spectacular addition to your home!
Thank you!! Wait until you see the view with them all side by side! 😊
You’ve really gotten it down with those doors, I remember your first one, they’re so beautiful, totally worth all the effort!!! Loving your longer format, I know it’s a ton of work editing and I appreciate and thank you so much, love your channel!! PS, I liked Viant’s little sounds, an A for creativity!!!
Thx so much!!! Really appreciate all your comments 😊
So, two years ago did you ever think you would say "It is too moist to do welding today"? So much progress!
Lol probably not!! You never know where life will bring you! ☺️
Very impressive you guys enjoyed watching both of you in 35c in Australia
Thank you!!!
Superb job, keep up the attention to detail which you have maintained from the start...
Thank you!!!
Guys rock.
1" insulated glass is perfect. The only thing I would recommend is if you start seeing condensation. To fill the cavity of the door frame with foam insulation to minimize thermal bridging.
Besides that keep rocking on.
Love your videos...
Thx so much!! ☺️ I will definitely keep that in mind! Thx for the suggestion. I appreciate all of your comments! 👍
@Pacific Pines Ranch I love to see ppl succeed, especially both of you whom have 0 experience and prove that anyone can do anything. You guys are doing the job of experience, trained professionals ass good or even better. Especially since it's yours, no contractor will ever handle a project like it's their own.
Can wait for the final product, you guys are an inspiration for everyone. Especially me and I have 20 yrs in building...💪💯
@@tonybillmahoney7462 That is SO NICE to hear!!! Thank you so much!! ☺️🛠🙌
I think Viant could open a car body shop, he’s had plenty of practice with the sprayer 😊
Great job guys 😊
He definitely could! Lol
@@PacificPinesRanch mind you, you have the welding skills too, Pacific pines body shop 😂
@@niknoks6387 you never know where life will bring us! Lol
Wow the doors are fantastic, going to be such wonderful light coming in.
Thx so much!! They are definitely one of my favorite parts of our build 😊
I have been building on my back porch, a plant room for my wife to start her plants. Right now, that is in my office and in our hot tub room/four season porch. I removed two sets of sliding doors from the porch and was planning to use them for the plant room.
I was all prepared to install the second of 4 glass panels, and I dropped it. Have you ever dropped a sliding glass door tempered panel on a corner? 50,000 tiny pieces of glass. I asked about a replacement panel - $800. But today I got one from a recycling place for $10. I will ask someone else to install it. I think you are doing a much better job than I am.
Thank you!! The price of glass went WAYYY up. It helps so much to have the suction cups to move the panels around. We’ve had a tempered piece of glass break on site. It took us FOREVER to clean it up lol. 😊
Is this Oregon? That property is beautiful. You are lucky
Yes it is and I definitely feel blessed to call this place home. 😊
Hey Supertoopers you are making a super fantastic house, wow so nice. That house will be a dream to live in. Succes. 🤓
Thank you!!! Looking forward to being able to live in it 😊
question staircase what is your thoughts ? have you thoughts round staircase?
Great job 👍
Thank you!!! 😊
After binge watching all your content a week or so ago, I have a question. You have done a lot of welding with MIG using flux core. Have you ever replaced the liner in your cable? They do wear out and the degradation in weld quality is slow and not something you will always pick up on. There will just be times that getting a good weld is a bigger struggle. The more curves and twists in the cable, the more problems a worn out line will give you. The two of you are doing a great job on this complex build.
Thank you so much!!! Yes I’ve replaced it 😊
I skipped around trying to see what handle/latch mechanism you two are using for the doors. I must be missing it. Is it something you made or bought?
Here is the video for the handles: czcams.com/video/76B5-fpRp0U/video.html
I can’t remember if we included the locking system in there but it’s basically a bolt latch with a female piece of tubing welded to the floor and ceiling. I’ve seen people just keep the original container door locking system too. 😊
@@PacificPinesRanch nice! Thank you
@@PacificPinesRanch no locking system in that video. I had actually already seen the handles - very nice.
@@RetreatHacker thank you!! Ok thx for letting me know! I will try to do a video about it in the future. 😊
How much does removing the walls lessen the structural strength or weight limit of the container?
Depends on how much you remove. The more you remove the weaker the structure is. 😊
I have a few videos about the cutouts & reinforcements on our channel if you’re interested!
Why not leAve tape on handles until after final, finish coat?
It’s pretty easy to remove them, it’s just a few bolts. So less time and materials! 😊
how thick is that glass? awesome work!
Thank you! 1” 😊
@@PacificPinesRanch OMG,that’s some heavy duty glass!
🏠📐🛠️👫👍👍👍
спасибо за все ваши комментарии! 😊
Isn't there a fresh air mask of some kind you can use instead of vreathing all those fumes ? I know there are sandblasted fresh air hoods, and there are face masks with a built in fan and power pack hospitals use. What's the price of your lungs ? I know how horrible it is to breath all that dust and smoke and fumes. I was a Diesel Mechanic over 45 years and worked in many different types of business fron Gunite Companys------- trash trucks and always ended up welding ect.
I almost always wear a filtered respirator when working around fumes or doing projects with a lot of particulate in the air. I agree it's important! :)
Happy New Year!
Now every time I see a " New video " on the channel, it seems to be going backwards. I mean is this ever going to get done?
Ok until next time Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii
Thanks and you too! I’m much farther behind on CZcams than I am on other social media pages. It just takes way longer to edit full videos. I’m working on getting caught up though! If you want to know why the build is taking so long, I made a video about it: czcams.com/video/MqH0q6KreaY/video.html
Jeremiah 31:33-34
King James Version
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Sooo.......Yeah! Gawd I hate hearing that on a video every few minutes........stop it!
