- This video allowed me to answer a great question regarding positioning in casino as well as show off some of my students :)
There is a bit of a breakdown of dile que no also.
* * * Big thanks to PALO for the music! * * *

I totally agree when you say "casino doesn't get a lot of the respect it deserves because people aren't seeing the best version of it". I used to dance like the bad examples in the video. I did a lot of backstepping. Later, I studied with a teacher who studied in Cuba 20 years ago and I understood a lot of things, like why it feels and works better to do forward stepping instead of back stepping.
Personally, I think it also looks better.
Thanks for uploading these videos.
Great video! Thanks for including our music.
Hello from Seattle! I was thrown your way by one of your old students, and I gotta say, your videos are unreal in terms of quality and content. The effort really shows. Thank you so much for showing us how beautiful this dance can really be! Let us know if you start a patreon so we can show our appreciation.
Give Laura a hug for me :)
I I'm very thankful for your words. It's a beautiful dance and if I can help showcase that in any way, I'm happy to do so.
I had just recently got the idea of doing a patreon, so thank you for the encouragement. The videos do take quite a bit of effort, and I'm glad that it shows.
Stumbled across your channel seeking knowledge on Casino since most places in my area teach Rueda only. Your videos are informative, funny and well edited. Thank you! Your videos help me understand Casino and now i'm able to practice the basics. 10/10
Thanks! That's awesome to hear and helps me want to keep making these things (they are a pain in the ass). Seeing that people have an interest in casino, danced well, for the sake of casino, and not just bs'ing some half-assed rueda turns has been a revelation. If there's any specific questions you have, I'd love to do my best to try and tackle them - there is always someone else out there seeking some of those same answers. Thanks for subscribing!
You'e the most Italian (Sicilian) looking dude I've ever seen. Love the videos btw. Amor de Canada!
Hello from India..fantastic videos from you. Love them. Love the depth in theory. Love the focus on authenticity of casino style. And I really appreciate the love classes you out up as well. They give me a good idea of how I can improve mine 😊😊
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment.
I'm very glad the videos are helpful. There are some videos from the course available to watch at messinadance.com/casino
BOOOOMMMM POR ESOOOO!!! ESO ES CASINO. Thank You!!!
this is from Germany and I am definitely getting a lot out of your videos. Like you said, you have to dig through a lot of dust before you find the Casino nuggets online.. and your channel is definitely a gold mine! 👍😁
now I also have a question: in the intro of this video there is a Rueda sequence with multiple Damme and Enchufas.. (1:11, from Durham) I have never seen this. Would love to introduce it to our Rueda. What is it called and do you happen to know a good video on it?
Thanks for the kind words! 🙏🙌
The move at 1:11 is "espresso"
• dame directo
• dame dos
• una pa' arriba
@@MessinaDance oh yeah, great! I hadn't seen your reply. Thank you. What exactly is una pa'arriba?
Oh I see, it's what we call Dame arriba. 👍
And then in the sequence Espresso is followed up with Enchufla con vuelta, but that is another command, I guess, and not part of Espresso?
Yes, no enchufa built in to espresso
I love your videos. I have a details question to ask you. As soon as I can come up with a concise way to ask it lol
Thanks for watching. I'll be waiting
@@MessinaDance I just asked it in the di le que no comment.
