  • Aprilia Shiver "Service", "Urgent Service" light on dash. Resulting from erratic and uncontrolled RPM movement, with "limp mode" on bike. This device (along with the air pressure sensors) may be the reason for this fault

Hi... I have a Dorsoduro 750 2010. After riding for 2 mins the bike engine stalls and Urgent service flashes. Then when start the engine, the bike does not rev. It goes into limp mode. There are no dashboard errors... Any advice ?

It could be one of few things...probably one or two of the Air Pressure Sensor in the chamber is faulty or the TPS. I will start from the checking the air pressure sensors for a start.

Femi Fadipe thanks..... The issue happens when the bike is on low Revs or idle. When the bike is revving the fault does not appear.

So many things in my opinion. Do you have the bike under covers or exposed to the elements (rain, moisture)...check if water or moisture is not sipping into the cluster/dashboard. I have over 60,000km on my Shiver...and she still rides like a hot chick. I am sure you will find the problem, a little at a time.
