To be honest, this is the most creative Tekken. You can compare the animations of Tekken 4 to Tekken 8's as in, the facial animations. But since Tekken 8 didn't release yet, you can compare them to Tekken 7's. Tekken 4's facial animations are somehow more detailed.
Oh man.....this takes me back.....my favorite Tekken game, with my favorite Tekken character of all-time. The older games are so much better than the new games, it's ridiculous.
@user-hf2zi8bk6r unbalanced can be fun, MVC2 for example. The shorter combos, way less to remember and lab, and the far better stages. I can see someone preferring the older games.
@@kris24_lawson What do you mean? Mokujin was in every Tekken up until 7. With 8 having a smaller roster, how is this more difficult than it was for the past 20 years?
@@premiumr98 well they did say that the reason they discontinued it was because of this very issue. they said it was broken, not in an op kind of way, but in a dev way
Probably because it would have taken a lot of effort. Having to make a lot of extra animations for Yoshimitsu's cloned moves probably would have been a lot of work, especially with the much larger rosters in later games. They probably thought it would have just been easier to give him his classic flash instead so that's what they did.
As much as this was a really cool addition to Yoshimitsu’s kit, it did ultimately replace the Flash he has in other games. This naturally meant that Yoshimitsu lost his super fast launcher with this being a gimmick overall by comparison (albeit a really cool one).
I suppose they could make it so that you can choose if you want to steal the opponents attack, or go for the combo insted in Tekken 8 by making two different inputs for it. That well be a cool idea.
Yeah I remember TKN 4 Yoshi🤣 Seeing him stealing other characters certain moves was a barrel of laughs🤣🤣🤣 Remember bk in the day in 2001 why his sword turned red from green when u did his flash then realised that he could copy moves like that!👍 This was the only TKN game he could do this.
This was cool mechanic. it could allow very interesting things. İt had advantage to perform moves with animation frames, no execution frames. İt would be amazing to see competative scene.
How's Tekken 4 aging so well, looks stunning. The characters, music a stages, outfits... Wonderful game and art style
indeed
JIT JUST PUKED PURPLE ON MARDUK WHAT.

I remember doing this move to Panda when I was a kid and I went crazy thinking it was a bug or something not programmed. Oh my memories.
that beetle costume and his T4-T5 voice is my favorite

they are not. its ur nostalgia which make u feel better about those games. they were a complete mess and absolutly unbalanced

Your so funny dude.
@@user-hf2zi8bk6rYeah now the characters bounce up and down and you can do a combo for 3 min lol
Much better...
Thats so cool. never knew about it. Imagine winning a tournament with this move. even better, Imagine death fisting a Paul.
T6 was my intro to the series (played it a few years before T7 released). This has to be one of the coolest mechanics I've ever seen in a game.
Major plot twist!!!! Tekken 4 yoshimitsu and shang tsung were cousins!!!!
Ah memories
Could you imagine this in T8 where he soul steals Victor then pulls out a Blicky
Shang Tsung said he wants his move back
he was taking those SOULS... STAY HARD
One of the coolest move from yoshimitsu.too bad it was removed after Tekken 4
so true
While its a cool move, it is also a pretty bad move.
That's a feature that is a must return for Tekken 8 Yoshi
@@kris24_lawson they did it just fine 20 years ago on a ps2 dude

No. I like to keep flash at all times rather than pull a random move from my opponent that probably isn't worth having.

They wouldn't have to add any additional animations since all the characters use the same skeleton iirc

That would be the best of both worlds and it would be awesome to see. Unfortunately though, I doubt that will happen.
Yoshimitsu throwing up on Marduk may be the best thing on tekken ever.

I hope T8 brings this move back as like b3+4 or something, and i dont even like yoshimitsu but itd be really cool n funny
it would be cool if devil jin is in the game and when yoshi copies any of his flying moves like u4 or even heaven's gate, he's use his dragonfly wings

This is cool they should add this back
they must bring the old flash back to tekken 8

can he do the panda fart?
It'd be cool if this returned in Tekken 8 as part of his Heat mechanics

Great game if you care very little about gameplay. Lots of cool ideas with little to no functional value.

That sounds fun but most likely so useless in a real match man😢
