I have come to admire Peyton as he has aged, even more for how he carries and conducts himself. It's like he's grateful for being gifted enough to do something he really enjoyed and make a great living while doing it.

As a Colts fan and resident of Anderson, IN, where the Colts training camp was held for years. I can’t count the number of practices I went to. We always arrived early and even still, Peyton, Marvin Harrison, and Reggie Wayne were typically already on the field putting in extra practice. After practice, more of the same, they were the last to leave. In part because they demanded perfection….but after….. all three would sign autographs for a while. Marvin and Reggie would stay for a while….but Peyton would stay another 30-45 minutes every day signing autographs. A truly kind, friendly, and humble man. Several years later while in New Orleans having lunch at Mannings Sports Bar, Archie walks in. He sat at the bar, had a burger with the 8-10 people there, answered questions, took photos. Just a very friendly and down to earth man. It’s obvious where Peyton gets it from….the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
