- This is Round 1 of the Xros Encounter Wars, a tournament featuring 8 decks from the 10th main booster of the Digimon Card Game: Xros Encounter. The first two decks to clash are BloomLordmon and Jesmon X. The Green BloomLordmon deck supports Plant/Vegetation and Fairy-Trait Digimon, revolving around a mechanic of swarming small Digimon and suspending them for evolution and offensive bonuses. As such, it has some synergy with the Shivamon deck from BT-08. On the other hand, the primarily Red Jesmon X deck has received powerful new support in BT-10, including a signature Lv.7. Enhanced with more swarming and access to various powerful offensive (attacking unsuspended Digimon) and defensive bonuses (bounce and DP minus resistance) without the need for Option cards, this Royal Knights deck is streamlined and sharpened more than ever. Who will take this tournament's first win!?

At first, I was thinking to myself "Rust, how dare you do Bloomlordmon dirty by throwing him to Jesmon to be sacrificed?"
Now, I'm here looking at this relatively inexpensive deck (Pulsemon promos aside) and gazing in fear and awe. That was insane. Bloomlordmon didn't need to snap off so hard.
I honestly wasn’t afraid of bloomlordmon before I saw this video…
I thought he was just supposed to be a gimmick...

@@Skru-begg Actually it was alrdy an OTK haha, I missed it while playing but I didnt actually need to suspend the Palmon that came out from Raising Area. I couldve left it as the final attacker

EDIT: A viewer, arialdi muhammad, noted something important about yesterday's BloomLord vs Jes X match! Actually, BloomLord had lethal on his penultimate turn. He was already packing so much advantage that he didn't actually need to suspend the Palmon that was moved out from the Raising Area. He could have just left it unsuspended and performed the double BloomLord combo. Even with only SA+2 (or 3 checks) each, that would be enough to wipe out Jes' 5 Security, then the unsuspended Palmon could deal the final blow. I completely missed this while playing. Frankly, it didn't even cross my mind that I could have won that turn (other than by drawing into BloomLord No. 3). Just wanted to share so we can all learn and get better at the game together!

These two are the decks that scary me the most in the game right now. I knew both had INSANE one turn kill potential but seeing it side by side is even crazier.
Yay, a new tournament video. I was also expecting Jesmon to win this round but I guess green is back to dominating the tournament as usual.
Before I watched the video, I thought you had the match up on purpose given both are swarming decks but realizing it was random was funny. In all honesty all of the round 1 match ups make sense. Bloomlord and Jesmon are swarmers. Blue Flare and Rika are edgy power houses and Rika's English voice actor did go on to voice Nene in Digimon Fusion. Venusmon is attempting to exorcise the dead/demon that which is Dark Knightmon X. Finally, Team Xros Heart versus Bagra Army just the premise of Digimon Xros Wars. Seeing how Chaosmon was in the green deck, I am surprised he didn't make an appearance in the duel.

That or hold my beer as I smash through literally everything with a field that can easily take out 5 security again.
Damage potential on that last turn: 6 ordinary Digimon that can attack first + 1 BloomLord on 7 suspend + 1 BloomLord on 8 suspend = 6 + 4 + 5 = 15 security. Add another BloomLord on top of that for 20 security checks

Ikr, I'm reminded of Jes' defeat in the BT-06 semifinals. But I assure you all it's always rng, I don't rig or script cos those aren't real matches to me
Damn! This game could have EASILY gone the other way but I'm guessing Jes was missing a few pieces to go off while Bloom had everything due to the constant draws and Digivolutions AND Mimi flooding bodies on board. If it werent' for the 2nd Mimi getting checked in Security Jes might have swarmed first. :/
It was incredibly close... but technically even without the 2nd Mimi, Bloom could have still gone off, just not that hard. 4 plants on the field is sufficient for him to evolve at 0, and 2 attacks on SA+2 (3 checks) would have still cleared all 5 Security

I mean to be fair Bloomlord high rolled with the 1 offs Argomon and HPD. Also Bloomlord’s OTK potential is reliant on how much it can swarm the board whereas Grandis X-antibody just needs to come out of raising followed by a hybrid play. So I wonder which green deck is actually better at OTK, I say Grandis for now but if BloomLord can consistently swarm then we might have a new contender especially with the way it keeps gaining memory off swarming.
Good point! But actually, even if you discount the 2nd Mimi, 1 off Argomon and HPD, Bloomlord could have done the same thing - just with less Memory advantage so //shudder
There is a video of a Japanese player trying out Bloomlordmon and showcasing possible combos in the end. Just as a heads up, if you promote Ajataramon from Raising and (with 3 memory from Mimi) you have like 5-6 ways to oneshot that turn while swarming the board without any of your one-ofs (I think he wasn't even running them, they are not needed).
The deck makes excellent use of Kimeramon and one Hybrid as extra ways to kill off your opponent, so there's that too.

This was very exciting to see unfold. Jesmon unfortunately did not have the unsuspend inherited ability to close out the game.
Even if it did, that doesn't allow you to Blitz twice! This is an important point to remember! That's why I chose to evolve the ST12 Savior to produce another Sister for defence, instead of going into BT6 Savior which I searched and had in hand!
@@rustmarrow sorry, you are correct. I had forgotten of when you played Jesmon. Would playing win rate 60% extended your play? By playing sistermon Ciel to gain one memory?
Hmm I don't think it would have mattered? Jes could only have played 60% for Savior's evolution into Jes X, which isn't much of a discount. Once evolved into Jes X, he couldn't play 60% to discount GX's evo cos the 2 cost for 60% would have ended his turn

For the darkknightmon deck, I was wondering why I haven't seen anyone running the ragna st LVL 2? With the amount of times you're playing cards via effects, it's bound to pop off once or twice a game, and darkknightmon doesn't need the extra drawing of pagumon as far as I'm concerned (just something I was thinking about while watching this, excited for darkknightmon to battle it out!)
The Ragna ST Lv2 only triggers when playing a 'Legend-Arms' Digimon

People go crazy about Bloomlordmon but don't mention what Jesmon was able to do did with no security, nothing on the field besides a savior in hatching and a Tai. If that savior would've been the limited one and the Jesmon not the X version but the Blitz version, he actually would've won the game since he would be able to blitz twice due to Jesmon GX effect activating normal Jesmons on digivolve blitz, unsuspend with savior, then finally attack again with his own blitz to finish the game after he checked all of the security.
No, you can't Blitz twice. The second Blitz would trigger mid-attack and that doesn't allow you to save it and attack again later. There is currently no Digimon line that can force a second Blitz because it would require evolving at the [End of attack] timing

@@kaen4299 No, it's more like the first Blitz activates first, but the second Blitz activates before the first Blitz resolves. You can't attack while you are already attacking, so the second Blitz simply misfires.
