In the eastern side of Pakistan, Punjabi, Sindhi, Saraiki, Hindko etc. are Indo-Aryan family of languages, while the western side has Balochi, Pushtu etc. which are of Indo-Persian descent. There are 70+ languages spoken in Pakistan but major ones (with 10M+ speakers) are Balochi, Punjabi, Pushto and Sindhi. and of course the national language Urdu is also Indo-Aryan. Without learning specific language (aka the hard work; which I'm very bad at 😁), one can venture a few guesses about the context of conversation depending on one's familiarity with any language belonging to its pedigree.
