Stone, you should have been on the show when it was filming because you are good at teaching the different types of duck calls. Thank you and God Bless!!!
Why does the magnum call have the same end piece as the original call that has the whistle on the end? Is it designed to be compatible with a whistle like the original?
We're you an avid duckhunter before you married in to the family? And how long did it take for you to be knowledgeable enough to run the building of the calls
I know this is a bit late but wood calls tend to be duller sounding and not as loud but still a sweet tone, good for close up stuff, timber etc. plastic or poly acrylic etc seem to be higher pitched and bit louder.
Wing tips and tail feathers... when their wings are pointed at you and when they are flying away is when you call. When the ducks are flying toward you and over you, be still and quiet! After they pass start calling again. They will circle your decoys, sometimes several times and I firmly believe they've learned what a safe distance to fly over a group of ducks is to get a good look at them to figure out if they're decoys or real ducks. Often times they will make the most experienced hunter jump up to shoot only to realize they were just out of range. This is where patience is key, wait until they are finishing, wings cupped and feet down. I swear it's almost as if they know the range of a shotgun and they're trying their best to get you to make a move and blow your cover. I would start with a 12 gauge and after you've gained some knowledge and experience step down to a 20 gauge if you want. You don't want to cripple a bunch of ducks. Hope this helps.
I can see why Phil had taken a liking to him. They have the same speech enunciations
I thought they were related he sounds like jase

Need to teach everyone how to. Thank u very much 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ok so here’s my question and I think ALL duck callers need to know this. How do I know when, and when not to call?
It’s all on the birds, if your sitting there waiting for first light if you can hear the birds then be loud if you don’t be quit.
Sorry I'm late but always call to the tail feathers never call if you see anything coming in.
Can you teach us how to blow a pintail, widgeon and teal call
Very cool. The way this things going... just might need a few different Duck calls.
