If you consider the piano a percussion instrument rather than a string type, then pianists are already percussionists! But nonetheless, Richard Tee is an amazing musician :)
(Don't take this negative at all!!!) im a pianist who worships tee.. i'll save you the trouble. You can learn this note for note if you like. you'll get it down eventually. but you'll never do what tee is doing. I've tried. I'm 90% there, but He's built from all the music he has learned in the past. You'd honestly be best off just learning the tunes that resonate with you and letting what you've learned come out in your music. What you're hearing is Tee's version of that. do it! just learn pieces that you like. Learn changes and styles/licks etc
James Corbett You’re right. I’d advise anyone looking at this to maybe learn a few of the licks and the general feel of Tee’s playing. When you start to copy it note for note you don’t really learn how to use it. It’s like copying someone’s hair as opposed to copying their hairstyle.
hello, amazing work , very nice transcription, could you please tell me where i can download/purchase the score please ? :) thanx have a nice day, best regards ....
@@beng6319 Maybe it's a version of Take the A train, but I haven't found the recording. Also check the tribute Tee Time by vulfpeck if you are not already coming from them.
Richard T was a beast on them keys! Sleep In Heavenly Peace 🕊️🕊️🕊️
So basically the guy a pianist and percussionist at the same time...
I love it !!!
Every musician should be a frustrated drummer. If you aren't treating your instrument like drums, then your time isn't good

Richard Tee had an unmistakable style. His patterns are somewhat formulaic but it's so groovy!
Richard Tee was one hell of a piano player. May he have a whole lotta shakin' where ever he is now...
