the hoarder lady story genuinely sounded like a fever dream. really cool stuff. If you don't already, you should definitely have a podcast!!! your life really needs to be told in a longer form raw style. me and so many others would absolutely eat that content up.

Hoarder Lady sounds schizophrenic. Apparently some people, most notably Lucille Ball, can hear radio stations through their dental fillings. I had a cheap space heater once that I could hear a radio station through when it was on.
I have found, in my very adventurous life, that the craziest seeming people are often the most generous and kind. Yes, there are attachment or even boredom issues, but they aren't touched by that self-justified need to refuse help to anyone because fill-in-the-blank. You had a wonderful experience, Trevor, and these people taught you lessons about humanity that will serve you well. I would bet you can count the ways! Some of the scariest people have the nicest appearances. One of the things to garner from this is the relativity of place. The 77-year old woman was a central figure and also very happy in her place in the world. Living and traveling to not too many, but quite a few places, it is almost always true that every place has its people and its people who want no other place. And the concept of local celebrity is absolutely fabulous with needing to be absolutely fabulous.

Actually, those stories just sound like me growing up in my neighborhoods. Getting in a car with crazy people who are speeding and nearly dyeing, I think I have done that maybe a dozen times. getting into a house with a person who spend most of their teens up to early 30s in prison for murder or manslaughter, seeing people who are obviously severely mentally ill, yes all before I was 18 actually.
why not make some videos, they could be interesting!

@@wa2k360 I try not to think about my adolescent years as they are very painful and PTSD invoking. I tend to only talk about it with my two daughters when I feel I want them to learn what not to do or be aware of dangerous situations.

Thank you for the point you made, I really would advise people against hitchhiking these days as well. Too many weirdos out there. Glad you were always ok. So disturbing about the poor cats, that alone was worth calling the police, so the animals could be rescued.
I hitchhiked across the USA in the 80s. Cant believe I did it..Crazy stories.. I really got blessed. My stories are 95 percent cool. Left Md. Too Toledo Oregon.. God bless everyone here.. Stitch..

Dead cats are super common with hoarders although the car thing is weird. I delivered furniture for 10 yrs and dealt with a few hoarders and at several different locations I actually was the one who discovered the dead cats while removing old furniture.

I went hitch hiking from Mt Shasta California to Seattle Washington an these people picked me and my friend up. within 5 minutes they had givin us each 5 hits if acid that we both ate all of it it got WEIRD but they ended up just taking us all they way there an fed us an made sure we were cool but the Acid did not help AT ALL

Probably more dangerous being the driver, thats why you had so much trouble. A lady was driving on I15 in california, picked up a hitch hiker, and got stabbed to death while driving.

I was hitchhiking from the beach with my 13 year old sister when I was 17. A guy who was around 30 picked us up and I got in front even though he asked for my sister to sit there. I had a feeling the guy was up to something so I started telling him we had to get home and get ready for a kick boxing match. The guy tried 3 times to think of a way to get me out of the car. Once he asked me to go in a store to get him a soda, but my sister hoped out and said she needed something. The guy got out of the car and got something out of the trunk. I took his registration out of the glove box. And I took my switch blade out of my pocket and was cleaning my nails with it I had also took my tee shirt off and exposed my shredded body. I said what was in the trunk Brian, and he paled when I used his name.the road to town was 10 mile with no turns. He started saying he was to take the next turn, so I said we would hop out then. You could tell he was pissed. When we forgot home I looked his name up in the phone book . I called and his 16 year old daughter answered and told me he was a convicted molester who spent a year in jail for fondling her. He was still on probation. She asked me to call his probation officer and turn him in. I did, and it made the headlines. The man ended up doing the whole 5 years.
I cant stop watching his videos now. This dude could talk all day and I wouldn't have to say a word. So cool.

I'm a driver. Most drivers can get in suuuuuuper deep trouble if they have unauthorized/approved passengers in their truck. They normally have to get their company to approve passengers
Paperwork at HQ and on the truck, signed and dated for how long and pay additional insurance to cover them and you're responsible for the passenger. Big yikes.
*I'd still do it again though. Eases the boredom.

@@user-sl8nd1vx1n Its not the system, I know a guy that is Schizophrenic, refuses to take the meds prescribed to him, refuses to sleep in a home and basically does not want to be helped even though the system is available to him. He doesnt do drugs or drink, just mentally ill and nobody will be able to help him cause he doesnt want it. Guaranteed she is the same way.

You should consider using an eyedirect for these videos. Where you look straight into camera but through a one way mirror at the interviewer off to the side to help maintain eye contact. I think the direct eye contact with your viewer would raise these vids to another level.
