the most terrifying aspect in this game the ai not being stupid and actually avoiding obstacles
This is such a fun idea. Was pleasantly surprised with how the cars behave, half expected them to sabotage themselves constantly haha

The biggest asset of this game is that it can go from terrifying to utterly hilarious without losing any of its intensity.
What if the screaming car that slams into the concrete blocks, is actually a woman inside, screaming that the car is moving on its own, she can see whats coming and the screaming cuts the moment the car slams into the barrier. Likely killing the girl because her head would slam into the wheel or the dashboard. Morbid way to explain it.
When is that?

I was ready to apply this disturbing logic to the baby on the grill but they have comically red eyes and plastic appearance
Being pursued by an Ice Cream Truck has actually been a fear of mine since I was very young.
I literally got chills when Ice Cream Truck music started playing... (19:55)
This is the note Frank sent the main character (14:56)
"Understand I had no choice. Andrea already lost her mother and now she has the same disease. She can't do it on her own.
"You have to take care of her. She likes you. I have to work to pay for her medication.
"I know you will do the right thing. If not then I'll make sure nobody ever finds your corpse."

So Frank kidnapped the main character, forced her to take care of Andrea in the basement but then the MC terminated Andrea resulting in Frank shooting through the door, shooting the MC and then perhaps shooting himself (the 3 gunshots). When I saw CJUGames play this there were some dialogues there that didn't show up here (and vice versa) that reveals the MC is married to a man named Jose.
the girl was terminally ill like her mother though right? maybe the MC thought she was doing the girl justice by ending her b4 the disease did? also being forced into taking care of someone not even your blood while trapped inside a dark damp room would bring out the crazy in just about anybody i would think(some people just not a kid type of person)

Yes, I do think that the MC put Andrea out of her misery out of compassion, but still.

They represent things that used to give comfort, deliverance and security turned empty, lifeless and dangerous, perhaps a metaphor for what her relationship with Frank turned into. But that's just a theory.
This game is possibly one of the best descriptions of some sleep paralysis dreams I've had when I used to take Ambien.
I feel like the dev must have watched Maximum Overdrive and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure back to back while high. That's the vibes this game gives. Teleporting pay phones and deadly vehicles. Yup.
The Free Candy Vans probably marked the collectibles, but activated the Van if you get them.
Why is the ice cream truck chasing you so much scarier? It’s a lot easier to tell where it is but it’s still extra creepy.
This game reminds me of an old game I loved growing up called Carmageddon. It’s a racing game where the other drivers are trying to wreck your car while you race. You can also win by totaling all the other cars rather than competing the races first. The sound effects are really similar in this, and that bulldozer thing reminds me a lot of one of the cars in it.
Seems to be based on Christine, the movie. Almost. Sometimes.
Feels more like Maximum Overdrive with a story lol
perhaps, though there are at least 10 movies out there where some car is an antagonist, could be inspired by any or all of them. pretty cool though, as even within horror this theme is pretty niche and only a few of those films (like christine or "the car") did it well.

Man, I'm surprised to learn that a game like this exists. I had nightmares about self-driving cars trying to kill me when I was a really young kid, and I never forgot about it.
Finally a horror game that actually does something creative, and doesn't follow a format for views and attention :)

Since I was a kid a had a fear of big soviet trucks, but the fear was more of an exiting fear, like I was scared my palms were sweaty, but also I wanted to experience the rush. The feeling when the truck passes you you give it a middle finger and it suddenly breaks with that squicky noise, leaving a trail of rubber on the road, and the yellow lights turn on and the truck starts to reverse. And at that point I imagined I would run as fast as I can, while its roaring and trying to catch me. I imagine I would run to my house ( we had a metal gate and brick walls) I imagined how I got ho safety just in time, run upstairs to the Kitchen window that has a clear view of the street, and see how the truck is ramming the metal gate trying to get to me. Later I would out that Steven King wrote a book about this exact feeling, and I saw a movie about evil trucks, and it was amazing just amazing exactly how I felt when I was a kid. And also there is a great movie about a guy in the car and an old truck trying to get him.

You should definitely check out Darkwood it's one of the best survival horror games. The story and atmosphere is great and the gameplay loop is engaging.

Yikes! One of my childhood nightmares have come true! In the 90s I had these gruesome fantasies a nightmares about bæggi-bæggi/ baeggi-baeggi ( yes thats what I called them, no idea the meaning it just stuck! )..cars that had organic maws, tongues and teeth that would get you if not be aware of your surroundings. It was before the weird toyline with mawed monster trucks, with tiger stripes etc. So the eyes were hidden, well the windshields and even side windows acted as eyed. And NO you were NOT safe driving away in a normal car, the bæggi-bæggi cars would make sure to topple/ flip your car and eat the meatbag inside!

Just how crazy all those cars were riding full speed around like some phsychos and insanely hitting against every object just because they're trying to get you- that was way better than any bumper cars!

This game is for everyone who thought the murder cars of Maximum Overdrive were a silly idea with no real threat to it.
There should be a game like this but with the Green Goblin truck from Maximum Overdrive chasing the characters around with other vehicles

So the usual speed for a tank is round 40 to 50 MPH, i believe some of your less armored ones can go 70 though
