I like Spyderco serrations best. Serrations actually help for safety when you need to Pierce something in very awkward or dangerous position where tip might slip off
Ah, there is that Cold Steel knife you mentioned. CRKT touts their (new?) Veff serrations. They are supposed to be super aggressive, but I have not tried them so I do not know that for myself. You are very good at starting fires. My son is not as good. So when he went on a canoe trip to our "Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness" I gave him a pocket bellows. He said the bellows were very helpful starting fires in the cold, wet weather they had. If you try them, I would be curious to learn what you think. Thanks for sharing your knowledge - great video!
I own a CRKT veff serrations some years ago. very sharp and doing well butt i bend the serrations pretty easey. So i trade it. For a Nitro Nobel filett folding knife if i remeber correct. Your son will be great at starting fire in every weather , its only about practice.
I personally think your videos are really great, there was a period where you were MIA, but you are back now and I really enjoy it when I see a notification from your youtube channel, keep up the fantastic work, and I can not wait for the next one. cheers, Nick
Hello Magnus ,I hope you are well I enjoyed your video I'm going to get a gator and give it a go as I'm no good at feathers either and you've finally convinced me - have a good holiday and enjoy a few whiskies regards Mick
You have gone quiet again Magnus, I hope you well my friend, could I ask you a quick question, what type of camera do you use, also what tripod do you use. all the best for Christmas and have a great new year.
British smocks are ok, I opted for a Austrian Army M65, that's double lined and a Nylon Cotton mix, the hood is concealed, I went a size up so I could and layers in the winter months, it was unissued and cost £25, at a guess I see you have a Norwegian army shirt, another great piece of kit, stay safe fella, Out!
@@MrMadhouse70 Aha I do recall a previous video where you explained the M90 shirt, I mix things up, Dutch, German, Austrian & Russian, I also have a Swedish army cap with fold down ear flaps, Very good hat indeed,
Thanks for the video Mag, what movie did you end up going with, do you remember? Have you seen the Terminator movies, one and two are my favorites. Tremors is a Great movie I think you'd like if you haven't seen it Bro
Hi.. I have the gerber big rock i have seen your upload on it.how do you get on with it?have you still got it? And how would you sharpen the serrasions? Thanks from the uk.
I do not have it anymore. But it is still a very good knife. The most easy way to sharpen the serrations is on a spyderco sharpmaker. Check that out on youtube. it is alot of videos about sharping the serrations with that tool.
first comment. I love watching your videos magnus. please upload more videos. love.
Thank you my friend for another great video. I enjoy when you ramble and talk about different things and things that you enjoy.
You are welcome Troy.

@@MrMadhouse70 It is good to know that the Veff type serrations have stability issues. That does limit their usefulness. Thanks.

Hej Magnus! Ville bara tacka dig för dina videor! Av dig har jag lärt mig hur man gör upp eld i dåligt väder vilket jag haft stor nytta av.
I think the only serrated blades I have are on my leatherman, oh and a Wusthof bread knife.
Amazing vid, I almost started to enjoy serrations...😜 I can recommend a tv serie called Yellowstone 👍🏻
That you have say for many years now Peter haha

I think i have seen that Pierre.
Your ferro rod is huge. Your work pattern suggest you must be in the O&G industry.
Well now i dont understand

Snart dags för en knivslipnings film kanske.
Ja nu är jag ingen guru på sånt. Jag brynar mina knivar tills det e dax för slip och då gör farsan det eller knivspecialisten i Bönan
Magnus, since there is no ä in English, the sound for that is one of the several sounds associated with e (in some dialects). Gärber?
Gööörber haha
