- Years of experimentation and use have resulted in the a collection of versatile, durable and inexpensive items I carry everyday. These are both the things I want at hand all the time, and are compliments to my Get-Home and Bug-Out bags.

Very good job. One of the best and realistic kit I saw.
Awesome video. Now I'm interested in your collection! Looking forward for more videos like this.
New posts! yes!
Found your video interesting and professional quality. Agree with you about the utility of a flashlight and blade. Thanks.
Brother thanks for such a good video. Like to add I carry molten valkeen whistle for years. Very useful during emergencies, safety & command.
Nice!
I carry the streamlight mirco as well and a Ka bar TDI every day
Good video. A flashlight works great for reading dates stamped on glass jars too. That little trick works very well, as does finding a dropped white pill on a white floor when it casts a shadow. I have one of those peanut lighters too. I got it for Christmas in 2008 I think it was, and I was surprised at how well it holds its seal, so in 2009 I bought another, and I started a little test where I filled it up and only opened it twice a year, on the first of the year, and the 4th of July, and fired it up, let it burn for 5 seconds, and cap it back up, and this year, she still fired right up and burned, so the test continues.
I also carry an industrial size sewing machine bobbin that holds about 40 feet of 200 pound test braided fishing line.
I always have a small med kit like yours, but I also carry Orajel with 20% Benzocaine. That works great for blisters, cuts, bee stings, and bites.
I also carry a small note pad, pen and pencil. I still remember my father saying to me back in the 70's when I was a teenager, he said, Son, a dull pencil is better than a sharp mind. I know people today use their phones, but I like pen and paper myself.
Here's the bobbin. Probably find it cheaper on amazon, but I bought mine 17 or 18 years ago on ebay and got 25 of them for like $10. Keep up the great work.

Great information, and much appreciated. Thanks for the link on the bobbin. (You dad's advice clearly came from a wise man.)
Good video, thanks for sharing, God bless !
Great video, you earned a new subscriber here.
Nice EDC. I buy just one of everything and never change. 71 years old. Only one watch, Gshock rangeman, Leatherman Surge and bits, SA champ, Gerber Swagger 1/2 serrated, 2AA Maglite, Condor wallet belts and backpack, IFAK with SA rescue knife and Leatherman raptor shears, Trunite 1AA headlamp, Berkey water filter bottle etc. Retired carpenter. I only buy high quality just once. I have over 200 knives for collecting but only carry one.
I like your kit -- thanks for sharing. Ditch the Maglite for a Fenix LD 22 -- you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
@@DesertPrep Fenix LD 22 CDN$ 141.99 + CDN$ 21.81 shipping
Looks nice but I'm an old timer. Buck knives and Maglite. Plus I can buy 10 Maglites for this price and have them in different places. Also parts never change. I have a 20 year old maglite that I can still use for parts. My 10 year old C size needed a part, no problem, they shipped it free from USA to Canada. Will you still be able to get parts for a Fenix in 20 years easily. Plus mags have a built-in candle feature which you have to buy an extra part for the Fenix and hopefully you can find it when needed. Still the Fenix is good but the simpler the construction the less problems. Mag doesn't have buttons to break. Simply turning the head on and off switches modes. Old habits, hard to break for us old guys. 200+ knives and I still carry my first cheapo.
A man after my own heart. I too may have many different styles of items, but when I buy a model i really like I'll buy several of the same one. One tip to pass on: I don't get the taking out your EDC when you get home/at night, I prefer to leave them in my pants so if I have to leave in the middle of the night everything is still in my pockets. I'll only EDC out in the morning when I change into the new pants for that day.
Great tip.
Some years ago when the Wingman came out I got it with a Mini , both for $19.99 from Home Depot. Today just the wing... is $59.99. 🤫
I use my knife and flashlight all the time.
No sub compact fire are?
You may find one on my person, but not on my channel...
I do have a flashlight 24 hrs a day👍
No wallet? I carry an edc wallet like a Dango with a toologic card. I keep punch out fishing card in it. And card size multi tool with fishing line on it. I will put a flash light on key chain.
Those fishing cards are neat but a gimmick. Once used are you intending to replace it? If you’re just going to carry the hook thereafter may as well simply carry a few hooks now save substantially. But they’re machined and satisfy the neat factor.
Keys to the Mercedes.
Ya, as a friend says “dark sucks”, I have several aaa’s, from Prometheus and Maratac. They run 120 L or so. Also put a light with 1 cr 123 batt. In my pack. Always have 3-6 extra batts.
Streamlight make Microstream with a USB charger and it puts out more light.
At this point in time, the lightbulb from a microwave puts out more light..
@@destinationbushcraft1833 That is a shame because mine works great and is a lot lighter than carrying a microwave. .
A long tube sock with 4 D batteries take care of most self defense matters😁
No disrespect but I think your thumbnail should have said "EDC?"
Oops! I missed that. Thanks!
@@DesertPrep No thank you for the great video. Been a fan for years.
why the hell would you show guides on your video for an ipad (that you EDC) that you can't get now !?!
Get out of here
