  • This is a video I created for Texas Caribbean Charters, I really enjoyed creating this and I wanted to share it with you. The Flower Garden Banks is coral reef off of the Texas coast. It is a very special place and is near and dear to my heart. I hope this video inspires you to pay the sanctuary a visit!

    Ooo, night diving are eerie but fun. Because your vision is limited to your light, the underwater world becomes more vibrant and focus.

    Awesome footage! I live in Nola and I'm considering this trip. The boat is big enough! That was my concern. Being on anything smaller with that kind of run would be misterable.

    Wow, what an incredible video man! I absolutely loved my time on MV Fling. The dives were absolutely mind-blowing, and I was equally blown away by the exceptional crew. I'm already counting down the days until I can take another trip!

    Wow, that looks amazing! Ive done several liva aboards on the Aquacat in the Exumas and its the best way to dive. Do they offer year round or is there a "season" to go out, considering that hurricanes in the fall could be a real problem. Great video!

      Thank you! The best time to go is now! The weather in the gulf is calm from July through sept provided there isn’t hurricane in the area ….they don’t run in the winter

      @@scottbauerbelow Great thank you. Im moving to Austin around the end of November or so. Have you done any dives in Mexico near the border? It looks like it might be decent. Thanks again.

    Two of my sons and I were scheduled to dive the gardens the week of 7/3, but it was canceled due to weather. We were bummed but will make it one day, and possibly with my daughter.
    When did you take this trip?

    everything looks gray and dead. im going to pass for the price....

    • @scottbauerbelow
      @scottbauerbelow  Před 10 měsíci

      This is an incredibly healthy reef with over 50% coral cover, the grey you see is because of the color loss that happens when you are at depth…all of the warm colors get filtered out as you go deeper underwater and this becomes exaggerated when using cameras underwater as they don’t capture things in the same way that the naked eye does
