Very few reviews out there so I thought I'd throw up my thoughts.
Good four season suit if you ride all year around in the northern hemispher its a contender.
The jacket retails for about 340euro.
    The trousers retail for 230euro.
There is a long, regular and short leg available but only in the plain black trousers.
    Hope you enjoy.

Solid review. Just received the same kit - it weighs a ton! But the quality, fit, finish and ventilation are superb.

Glad you like the suit. Its heavy alright but you can strip it back and it is ventilated well in summer. It is as versatile as you can get for the price point. This was my first review of anything ever on CZcams despite 18years on bikes. I'm not going to win awards for this video but you get the idea. Cheers.

Thank you for the review! Really thinking about getting one, since they become more and more available over here in Germany.

I just bought the pants and I went for a spin with the lads up the mountains and small bit of off roading so I got hot so I decided to remove the what I taught was the thermal lining and we called on riding and then I got caught I a down pour and I was soaked and I guess I didn't fully understand that these need that lining but like to said it's either get soaked or get boiled !! I would I rather been hot because I was cold when I got back to the shed !! So my only peve with these would be how are you supposed to stay dry in the lining is on the inside ?? Should the outer shell not me waterproof??

Great review. I have the mark 2 suit. Like your old set. Is the X worth the upgrade? My current suit is still in great condition.
Also how about Sizing? I'm a 40" chest and have the mark 2 in size M.

Sizing is exactly the same as the old suit. I still wear both but my mark 2 suit is starting to show its age. The only issue I have with this suit is weight. I have a Richa cumulus jacket too and in warmer weather is a better option due to the lighter D30 armour. If you have the rst already maybe try a different brand. Lots out there to choose from. Check out the sales online. Hope this helps.

Great review mate! I had the Adventure 3 and unfortunately, after having a spill, I'm looking for a replacement but can't find the Adventure 3 in stock in my size anywhere! Looks like they've moved on to this jacket. I'm with you in thinking the thermal and waterproof layers need to be separated though.
Have you checked to see if the liners from the Adventure 2 fit in it? Could be perfect if they are interchangeable.

The leg liners fit from the Adv2 to the X.
The jacket liners do zip in but the cuff on the RST Adv2 is a button while the X is a zip.
If the Adv 3 is a zip cuff it should work, if its a button on the cuff for the liners it will work but it will float around a small bit.
      Cheers.

Great review and hi from Cork! I have a suit ordered. The colour I wanted only came in a medium/standard leg length trousers. I have a 30" inseam. Not quite sure how the fit will be. How do you find the trousers length and fit.

    • @skapegoatie
      @skapegoatie  Před 2 lety +1

Hi, I am in a similar position as you leg leg wise. I have a 29inch inseam and the older black suit is a short leg but the newer Adventure X is a standard leg. There is a noticible difference in the longer standard leg but in saying that I find the biggest difference you can make is boot choice!
I have a pair of Sidi standard road boots that I find even in the short leg trouser skim the ground when walking. When wearing my Tcx Baja Adventure boots this does not happen in either pair of trousers (in fact the short leg may ride up to much) The bulkier adventure boots seem to help the trouser bunch up a bit letting us vertically challenged folk walk around in the style we choose. 🤣
I hope this helps but it has probably just made you buy a GTX adventure boot as well as your new suit.😎
Oh and Cork is the real capital! Great roads all over that county.👍

@@skapegoatie ah good to hear I'm not alone. I have Sidi adventure boots that are fairly bulky boots also, so that might help.

Med for the black set. Small for the colored.

What a shame model X is not as versatile as Model III was... I prefer 3-layer jacket over 2-layer.

    I don't think I want a thong on when I'm riding 🤣🤣🤣
