Rayan Fernandes (26) and Priya Fernandes (26), passed away on October 27, 2020.
Rayan is survived by mother and two siblings. Priya is survived by parents and a brother.
Funeral cortege leaves residence 'Pinto Villa' at 10 am followed by Mass at 10.30 am on Thursday, October 29 in Holy Spirit Church, Bajal, Mangalore.

For people still wondering, this young couple was waiting at a dangerous intersection in Mangaluru(India) while returning home from work on their bike when a truck coming down a flyover hit their bike and ran them over. The lady was killed instantly as the front wheel of the truck ran over her skull while the gentleman breathed his last in the ambulance. This happened just a couple of hundred meters ahead of me(I was riding down the same highway as well). It was a traumatic event and took me months to get confident riding my bike again. The dangerous intersection was permanently shut after this accident and a new one was opened at a safer location down the road.

From the comments section : They were coming back from work in a motorbike . Hit by a truck on a bridge , Died with injuries even faces damaged . So very tragic . They were not wearing helmets . So faces also were injured . Horrible for the parents and relations.

I'm at curious is why not the morgue fix the faces of the victim to make look beautiful on their last time people come view their love on i..I do hope they expected Jesus Christ as savior and Lord for only He is the only way to heaven aside from Jesus there is NO other way to heaven. I have seen 4-5 funerals that take place in India... they shock me in that there seems to be zero attempts to hide injuries or bruising. Is this the norm? I’m in the US and I recall my cousin’s funeral. He was thrown from the vehicle when it wrecked. No doubt there was significant head damage but the mortician hid it all with makeup and fillers etc. I am glad I didn’t see him like this. I’d think seeing your loved one so damaged would be even more traumatic. I also noticed there are some amazingly rude men running the funerals- lots of rushing people and pushing them. They need to remember people are mourning and it’s the LAST time they can see or touch their child.
Right, they do not embalm there people, or fix them up. Its not like the USA. They should have closed caskets I think. It would be harder for me to see a loved one all banged up. I was thinking what you said before I read what you said.
