Really loved how you landed that flying bass. When you're fishing a tournament, how many setups do you have ready to fish? How many bags of soft plastics do you carry? What are your thoughts on the fluke style of jerkbaits? Thanks
Hey Steven! That was a lucky one. I needed a little luck that day! I have 8 set ups ready to go.
I don’t carry a whole lot of soft plastics. I have all my worms and a few flipping baits. I don’t have a wide range of colors for my soft plastics. I think the style of bait and presentation are far more important than colors. The 3 colors I use for soft plastics are white, Junebug, and watermelon red. It’s hard to beat those!
And yes I like flukes… I just don’t use them a whole lot. Where I am at I almost exclusively throw white zoom super flukes. I actually am trying to gain confidence in a donkey rig. I use to throw it all the time… I am now trying to get back to it. So look up a donkey rig… it’s awesome! I hope this helps!
