There is no biblical monetary tithe. Abraham's tithe was from spoils of war, a one-time event in which he refused to take any plunder at all, and tithing under Mosaic Law only consisted of the increase of the land - produce and livestock. You don't have to give anything in order to go to heaven. We're saved by grace, not works, and we are free to give - not bound to pay.

But do a word search on the word tithe in the NT. Theres actually no limit. Paul asked to give a contribution from a cheerful heart not out of obligation but on the same token a tenth isnt mandatory. Dont give out of obligation but a cheerful heart.

Wish I had been on this panel. Not one of the guest pastors mentioned the fact that God gave the tithe ordinance to the children of Israel. Not once in the entire Bible is a New Testament Believer told that he is to tithe to his local church.
Further, according to the Bible, God's tithe was to be agricultural...not monetary.
The one pastor said that it is a heresy to say that tithing is a thing of the Old Testament and no longer required. The fact is, his statement is false. The last place in the Bible where we see tithes as a requirement, Hebrews 7, the text says the sons of Levi have a commandment to take tithes of the people, that is of their brethren according to the Law. The Law said that tithes were to be agricultural and that they were to be taken to Jerusalem and given to the Levite.
Hebrews goes on to say that with the change of the priesthood, there is of necessity a change in the Law. It goes on to say what that change is...there is verily a disannulling of the comandment going before. What commandment? The commandment for the Levites to take tithes of their brethren. Sorry pastor, but God no longer requires tithes. The commandment was weak and unprofitable and was disannulled.

Here are a few key points that everyone needs to understand, on the topic of tithing:
    (1) Levites receive tithes, and no one else. God Himself mandated this (see Numbers 18:21-22).
    (2) The tithe of Abraham to Melchizeded was a tithe of tradition, not religion, becasue there were no religious or legal requirement to tithe, as he did.
    (3) The tithe promised by Jacob was similarly one of tradition, not a religious observance
    (4) No gentile has ever been required to tithe in the Old testament. Only Jews. And only to Levites, because of Numbers 18:21-22.
    (5) No gentile has ever been asked to tithe in the New Testament, and certainly, not the church
    (6) Every mention to tithe in the New Testament was directed to Jews, as was required by the law of Moses, never to Gentiles
    (7) Gentile believers were never required to live by the law of Moses in the New Testament; this law is what mandated tithing.
Concerning giving, or tithing, or prosperity, Malachi 3:8-12 is not the full counsel of God. It is an excerpt, quoted to the church since the dark Ages as a deliberate misrepresentation of God's Word. There is even a date when this actually started. When we give, in the New testament, it is Jesus' promise in Luke 6:38 whereby we are blessed, instead of the act of tithing. Jesus said, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." If you're interested in learning more, I have researched and written about this in "Tither, You Are Free!", which you can pick up on Amazon. Be blessed!

Who invented this tithe that charge in churches were pastors in the desire to get rich and millionaires. There is no tithe in the gospel of grace. Whoever wants to be a pastor who works by day and preaches at night as the apostle Paul did, for free you have received freely.

Also were still under the law. Jesus sacrifice only did away with ordinances/animal sacrifices.
If you say tithe is still instituted how many of these pastors obey Gods 4th commandment? Sabbath on Saturday? You cant pick and choose.
Edit: Yeshua Hamashiac not only saved us but He also gives us freedom to follow the law.

@@AV-wl4el See people who say we are under the law do not actually use verses to back up their points. Have you actually read scriptures? Or just ignore those things called verses. THE LAW IS SIN Here is WHAT THE BIBLE ACTUALLY SAYS:
1st Timothy 1:9 Understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers,
      Roman's 7
Do you not know, brothers and sisters-for I am speaking to those who know the law-that the law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives? 2 For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him. 3 So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man.
4 So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For when we were in the realm of the flesh,[a] the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. 6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
Galations the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law. 22 But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
23 Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed. 24 So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, 26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” 11 Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.”[d] 12 But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.” 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us-for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”- 14 so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit[e] through faith.
Roman's 6 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 We know that our old self[a] was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. 7 For one who has died has been set free[b] from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. 10 For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. 11 So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. 13 Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. 14 For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
      Slaves to Righteousness
15 What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! 16 Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves,[c] you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, 18 and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. 19 I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.
20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21 But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
      Galations 5:13-19
13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.
Keep in Step with the Spirit
16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,
      Roman's 8Death
8 Consequently, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what was impossible for the law, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did. By[a] sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the requirement of the law would be fulfilled in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who are living according to the flesh are intent on the things of the flesh, but those who are living according to the Spirit are intent on the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mindset of the flesh is death, but the mindset of the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mindset of the flesh is enmity toward God, for it is not subjected to the law of God, for it is not able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this person does not belong to him[b]. 10 But if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the one who raised Christ Jesus[c] from the dead will also make alive your mortal bodies through his Spirit who lives in you.
12 So then, brothers, we are obligated not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For all those who are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba![d] Father!” 16 The Spirit himself confirms to our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, also heirs-heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer together with him so that we may also be glorified together with him
2 Corinthians 3:6 6 who made us adequate to be servants of a new covenant not based on the letter but on the Spirit, for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
