I mean, she had other patients I’m sure. Callie likes to do things herself, and follow a general prioritization schedule. But for the chief’s wife, she will delegate what she can do she can see her more quickly.
I remember this episode. The summary of this episode was to show Meredith's strength and capability to be the Chief of Resident. The whole period of situation in the ER was designed for an hour - capturing what have happened in an hour. The episode felt thrilling, mind-blowing and perfectly crafted.
That has always bothered me too. They are so casual when it is any one else, but as soon it is one of them or someone they love and care about suddenly everyone is up in arms. The most blatant time I saw this was when George was just John Doe for a time. When he was no one they were taking their sweet time getting him to surgery. The moment Meredith found out and told everyone it was George they all literally came running and couldn't get him into surgery fast enough. Makes you wonder if they has that sense of urgency from the beginning if George would have made it.
In the girls' defense, some migraines can mimick a stroke. She still should have kept him and continued observation if she couldn't see anything on CT, tho.
My migraines mimic the signs of stroke. Slurred speech, weakness in my left side, travelling numbness, motor control issues, aphasia... Hemiplegic migraines are a treat, let me tell ya.
im so sorry man. have you considered a daith piercing? i know it isn't a 100% chance of relieving migraines, but there's been studies done about neurological response and the daith piercing! :)
Have you tried botox? My friend had similar symptoms and she now gets frequent botox injection to treat it! It really helps! I am soon going to get some for my migraine too.
Not to be that person. But the doctor who came in and yelled for not knowing her consult was the chiefs wife of she would have been down sooner. Is just one of the many problems wrong with our medical system. Every patient should be tested with the same diligence and urgency. Not just the ones who will make you look better.
I had a stroke just like that. It started as a simple but painful migraine and then out of no where there was this "pop" and I made it to my daughter and got her to call an ambulance! I don't remember anything else until I got admitted and woke up to my neurologist coming to see me when I was admitted.
Callie's point of view: if it's the chief's wife, I would fly to treat her but if it's some sick normal person, i could take my time

Yeah cuz if something happened to her, that would mean the chiefs head wasn’t in the game. If the chiefs head isn’t in the game anything could happen.
Yup
Was just coming to comment this. Lol
@kadenmarsay3276 no it's kissing the chiefs butt. She's not thinking of the cheif being in the right head space.
They’re all such terrible doctors 😂
Ignores the characters that were the best doctors in the show
The best doctors in the show are terrible doctors
Why does it matter if it was the chief wife .
All patients should be treated with the same care and urgency

Why would she be faster if she was told about the chef’s wife? Shouldn’t she be fast period?
It's called she could've delegated.

No, he wouldn't have made it. He wanted off the show for personal reasons, so they killed his character.

Ah a friend of mine also has migraines that mimic strokes too. She usually ends up in the emergency room for pain meds.

Thought everybody was supposed to get treated the same??😅

Yes it's like a migraine. Had a brain stroke. But I thought it was one of my bad migraines.
