With a swashbuckling return, the iconic Sea Devils splashed back onto our screens - and with them, an episode full of some wonderful work from Segun Akinola. As ever, I took to arranging a suite of highlights from the score, with a dash of creative liberty!
I was especially big on Akinola’s usage of instruments such as the Erhu, which is a rare sound in scores. Hope everyone enjoys the suite, and I’ll see y’all for the 13th Doctor’s last adventure. (Or maybe earlier!)

Another incredible job recreating these! Loved Segun's new theme for the Sea Devils. Kinda gave me slight Master's theme vibes but still really cool! Plus Segun bringing back in all the great versions of 13 and Yaz's themes. Plus the way the score flows into the coming soon teaser is so good!!
The score in this episode was INCREDIBLE! Segun Akinola keeps impressing me, he has done such a fantastic job!

Wow! Thanks for the arrangement!!! Akinola keeps giving us a great score!!! I loved the music the entire episode, every bit, from the sword fights to the Thasmin moments.

Truly a masterpeice this is beautifull
The reason why I loved this episode was how the music really fitted with the scenery and the instruments used are some of my favorite instruments used in scores like in martial arts movies like once upon a time in China. They just have this story telling mystical feeling.

If it helps, that’s the ‘TARDIS’ theme, which can be heard throughout the official S11 and S12 soundtracks
@@WhoviVortex Yeh I know but thankyou. This “version” of it has a sense of risk and danger that it doesn’t usually exude. Usually when we hear the Tardis theme it screams of wonder, excitement and adventure. Correct me if I am wrong but this plays in the episode when the large sea creature chomps the Tardis and drags it down - it’s the Tardis theme but in danger. It amazes me how much Segun has evolved with his own scores through the years we’ve had him on the show. I remember in the first Jodie series the music was good but often found it a little tedious, now it’s wonderfully crafted to each scene.
