Perfect choice!! I was obsessed with this bag during the height of its popularity around 2014 but never bit the bullet because of the said structure loss, this was during a time when felt bag organisers were not so popular! Might revisit and put this bag back into my wish list, enjoy your new bag!!

Thanks for the code. Just ordered an insert for mine I bought many years ago. I used my cerf for all my interviews in 2019. It fit resumes, water, even flats to change into afterwards!

What a gorgeous vintage bag! Love that it still has the pouch, that's a big plus. I'm a huge fan of bag organisers with bottle pouches for totes, they really are gamechangers! Congrats on finding 'the one', it can be surprisingly hard to find the right bag/jeans/bra/other presumably easy item here! 💕

I’m only 27 so I can’t really afford a Chanel bag at Canadian prices right now (hello tax) BUT I did pick up the black shopping tote bag from Saint Laurent this weekend it’s been perfect for work! The leather is so soft, yet chic. The price wasn’t too bad either, $1500 CAD with taxes included. Holt Renfrew also gave me a slight discount. It’s an option worth looking into if you love designer :)
Ah yes, the Saint Laurent tote is quite minimalist-looking which I like. When I was in my 20s, I mostly used Tory Burch bags for work. There are many great options at the mid-range price point! 😉 Thank you for watching!
I have the YSL tote. Only one complaint The inside is a black hole can’t find anything. Otherwise it is lightweight and good price and nice soft leather

Love it! It’s so classy I’ve always thought this tote was very beautiful and understated. I thought I was the only non tote lover in the world. I do t use them for work and they are not cute to carry around now that I don’t have to lug around toy trains and cars and diapers. Enjoy her!!

Hi! I was also on a similar tote search and found your stories sooo relatable! Glad you found yours! I have what some may say “droopy shoulders” where tote straps can’t stay on very well. Usually 1 of the strap will come off and flap around the arms and I have to flip it back on. Will you be doing mod shots or video on how the bag looks on your shoulder? I find the cerf tote straps thick for it to stay on shoulder..but I maybe wrong.

I personally like zipped tote for work, even though I only catch one bus from near my house to city and walk a bit to office. I like the closure, another must have for me is to have a very large outer zip pocket that I place my bus pass, workID, keys, phone, sanitisers, sunglasses (with soft material case) that I put there and doesn’t require me to open my bag at all until I get to work/home 🙂 I am very minimal, I have my laptop few essentials and lunch sandwich in my part😉 also I carry a taupe/stone colour because it’s neutral as black can be too harsh with a lot of my light colour clothing or summer,

No, none of us like a saggy, slouchy bottom! 😳 Nice choice and even though it has the double CCs, it’s simple and not showy. Leather bags are needed for work really if you have to carry a laptop because they wear much better. Love your nail shade too. Have a great weekend.

Love this bag and was so sad when they discontinued. Only comment is that it probably lose structure if u put a lab top in it so I would try out a base shaper or something. If u look at old ones these things collapse similar to the collapsed birkin look

This exact one would be a great size for your 14” laptop! I think there’s a smaller version (shorter in height) but not sure if there are other sizes.

The VH shopper tote hasn’t arrived yet! I was going to compare the two and then decide but I just knew this Chanel tote was a keeper once I got the organizer insert. I’ll have to check out the VH one when it gets here!!! Stay tuned! 😊

How much weight does the organizer add?
A few ounces - very little.
Wow, around 2 pounds?!? I just returned two Tory Burch totes because they were both close to 3 pounds - too heavy for me! And I have a 15in laptop too. Can you weigh with organizer? You know I love my totes. Also can you provide dimensions? Thanks!
Yeah! Surprising right? I tried sooo many beautiful bags but the weight disqualified them all. This is 1 lb 15 oz completely empty and then the Zoomoni organizer weighs approx 9 oz (I got the extra thick version) so that would make the total weight roughly 2 lb 8 oz. 🙌 Dimensions are approx 14” L x 10” H x 5”D with out the straps. Hope this helps!

the snap buttons on the pouch were never strong enough to stay put from the first day! never used it. i have mine sitting in my closet for ever… i just cannot stand the weight of the bag:( feel like i’m working out every time i carry it around
Ohh good to know about the snap buttons. I figured as much because they’re so tiny. Funny you mention you find the bag to be too heavy. I’m sooooo intolerant of heavy bags and for some reason, this one feels comfortable even when stuffed with my laptop and essentials. I think the shorter straps help to distribute the weight better vs hanging down too low!

@@hellocatwalkcity when Chanel first brought out this bag, it was made with deer skin hence the name. Customers complained that deer was heavy so they changed the leather to calfskin ❤️

Hi Hannah - OH I know you found your dream tote but I did notice you were considering von holzhausen as well. I too was curious about that tote as I wanted something waterproof, just in case you were still interested I got the tote today and am BLOWN away by the quality and the aesthetics. I'd say give it a try if happen to test out vegan leather bags. :)
