This pump has a very clever and elegant design, very easy to service and maintain. It will last a long time provided that you change the oil every few months. Only had to rebuild one within 60 we have in the last eight years (our vacuum requirements are about 0.3 Torr).

Hi.. I've installed a few minor rebuild kits on these d65's over the past 5 yrs with great success...however this past week I've completed the same rebuild only to be left with a constant very fine bubbling of the vacuum oil visible in the sight level glass...I have went back into the pump a bit to take a look at the gas ballast valving and everything seems fine...Have I overlooked something in the rebuild?..the vacuum is great @ 6 millitorr..before the rebuild the pump was getting very hot, performing poor and appeared to have the ballast stuck open..So I did end up with great vacuum and cooler temps. ..just can't understand the churning of very fine bubbles. ..thanks

We started the Pump and got only 200mbar Vacuum instead of the 10-3millbar Vacuum. Also in the Oil Glass we see some air bubbles. Can some one advice what is the problem.
