@@victorkreig6089You're intentionally misrepresenting history in a way that goes against what we know to be reality. Pretty evil thing to do these days.
American blues originates from African slavery. The earliest record of blues existing in the United States comes from Black people being depressed about being slaves.

Yes!!!! Im a black American metalhead goth guy. I've been listening to metal for a decade. I always wanted to see more black people and African people being represented in metal. It's about time. Half a decade ago it wasn't really that relevant, but times are changing, and close minded people need to see this. For the trillionth time, skin color does not define what or who you have to be. Like what you like in this life. To be hated for what I like is a gift then to be loved for what people think I'm supposed to be.

Greetings! I'm a 7th Grade Science teacher in Massachusetts (USA). Last year while teaching 100% remotely due to coronavirus. I started giving my students a tour of modern African music, one country each day. I play the music in the background for the first few minutes while they do an opening task to get them ready for the lesson. I've continued this year now that we are back in class. I chose a different song from Togo last year, but decided to play this song this year. Most of my choices have been in the Afropop/Afrobeat genres, as the majority of my students are Black or Hispanic, and I thought they would find those genres appealing. However, I then I decided it's important to expose my students to many types of music and not to make assumptions about what they will like. After each song I have the students give a thumb vote and this got a lot more thumbs up than I had expected. In particular, they loved the African drum rhythms, and the story that the video tells. Several kids were banging their heads too. Thanks for making it!

I looooove the singing style together with metal. And the rhythms of the traditional percussion is enchanting as well AND the middle section with the Ali Farka Touré-Style Guitar :D

This is awesome! It's like metal is being taken back to its very earliest roots and revitalized with fresh African influences all over again. I actually have no idea how big and successful you are at your home ground, of if you have ever performed outside of Africa, but I do know that European folk metal crowd would love your music if more people just knew about it. We have thousands of folk metal bands who use folk elements mainly in melodies, and nothing wrong with that, but here there is a very strong rhythmic folk music influence and it feels like such a breath of fresh air.

muito satisfatório achar uma banda que mescla o metal com musica e cultura africana, infelizmente é muito difícil achar uma banda assim, acho que poderia haver mais, espero que com essa inspire a surgir mais, pois isso é muito bom e bonito de se ouvir. p
Parabéns a banda! Saudações do Brasil.

Beyond the skin color, which at this point should not matter much, it cannot be denied that the song is quite good ... and the voice is very ad hoc ... the guitar solo is spectacular and the percussions impressive .. Good band, good song !!! Greetings and like
