Not sure at 27:34 why you didn't Assassinate the other Vizier to make sure you don't lose, then play Gideon 2. Hell, you might have brought your match wins up to 100%.

Wow. I think that's the best against the odds record you've posted. That's really impressive.
The Professor is going to be mad.
That Ad Nauseam player could've had you dead if he played it right. He casts Disenchant to kill the Leyline, Lightning Storm to kill the Gideon, keeps Slaughter Pact, Pact of Negation, Lab Man, Angel's Grace, Echoing Truth, Serum Visions, and a land. Slaughter Pact your Heart or knight if you attack and Pact of Negation any hand disruption. Angel's Grace on upkeep, play land, play Lab Man, Echoing Truth any new Gideons, cast Serum Visions, Pact of Negation any removal if you had no disruption. It's pretty unintutive but would work against any hand of yours that didn't have two pieces of either hand disruption or removal (which yours didn't).
If he kept multiple Pact of Negation in against you he could instead just Echoing Truth the Gideon and keep a second Pact over the land, countering whatever Gideon you try to throw down and go for Lab Man + Serum Visions with Pact backup for removal.
But didn't he play Lab Man before, and it was in his graveyard, thus he couldn't have drawn it to his hand?
It seemed to me that the Ad Nauseam player forgot about the Gideon emblem.
He probably just misread it, thinking it would only apply to Gideon of the Trials.
He didn't even need lab maniac. Seth was at 0. The ad Nasuem player just plays echoing truth and Seth instantly loses. The ad nasuem player was so bad it hurts.

This is my new favorite deck! Want to see this at PT
Okay so a few things: First, I brought this deck to my local store for games and wrecked house, so thanks a million. Secondly, I would replace the Anointed Procession with a Sorin Solemn visitor. It's a much faster and more rewarding bomb with the token package than the procession, and also with a Gideon oath out, the next turn Sorin can ultimate and put a huge amount of pressure on more value creature decks. Third, I took out the isolated chapel, Windbrisk heights, and in favor for another concealed courtyard and two more ghost quarter which makes the deck much less clunky. And finally with the sideboard I took out the extra gideons, a stony silence and the gideon's intervention in favor of two Pithing Needles and two Authority of the Consuls and the deck now does much better against combo as well as the mirror.
Idk, just my two cents on the deck. I love the way you put it together tho, it's my favorite modern deck right now. Great channel btw, hope you hit 100k subscribers soon
I see it as a part of MTG storyline. Gideon travels back in time to ally with other Gideons and form the ultimate Gideon-team. They'll have their Gideon citadel and other cool stuff to fight Nicol Bolas and his minions. The multiverse is safe now because Gideons are watching!

We were brewing this deck during my pre-release, we came up with Gigidy Gang for the name :)
I would love to see an updated version of this, maybe abzan with birds and hierarch to start gideoning earlier, or a more tuned version in WB with lilianass, and some of the worse cards like the token doubler be changed for something like finks, mindcensor or serra avenger, and perhaps a couple of sorins.

well if you have the the druid/vizier combo and chord in hand.. you can go infinite and chord witness+resto+kiki and kill on turn 3!
Would gideon be better than platinum angel if you could play both for 3 mana? (as it dodges most removal that gid's does, but the fact that its a creature means that it can't be murdered by Tarmogoyf)

Versus the Combo deck, at minute 27:30 why dindt you use the gideon to destroy the Vizier of Remedies and cast the other Gideon in your hand and pump it? I´m missing something?

So this deck is good w/o planeswalker destruction in the sideboard. So if it stays fringe it stays good right?
Wouldn`t Oath of Liliana work nicely in this deck? Sure it occupies the cmc 3 slot, but you play it, get rid of a creature, next turn you play a Gideon and get a token to protect him - would also be nice in combination with Annointed Procession...
BW Tokens was the first deck I played in Modern, but I abandoned it because it never felt like it had a decent clock. Could be time to pick up some Gideons...

I think the misplay was in +2ing big gideon against the devoted vizier combo deck. You could've minus'd to kill his other vizier and taken him off infinite mana, then cast your second big gideon plus-ing
I think oddly enough the best comparison for this deck is a kind of a pox-less pox. You go wide to beat your opponent's go wide, attack your opponent's stuff with super low cost removal/discard, then stick a walker after you've expended their resources. All the pox walkers seem like a good fit for this deck, too.
Seth, now that they changed the legend rule, how would you modify the deck?
I was hoping you'd label the WB smallpox deck as 'Scoops to Gideon', like 'Scoops to Blood Moon' a while back!

Vizier, Persist creature(kitchenfinx) and a sac outlet? turn three instant win with carrior?
Eric Wichmann that was already a combo with Melira, Sylvok outcast instead of vizier. Adding in devoted druid and duskwatch recruiter lets you cycle through your entire deck to find the combo win in addition to being able to chord/coco for it. Also, it's an instant with with vizier, druid, and walking ballista on turn 3, while your combo is just infinite life.

No :(
Planeswalkers aren't technically legendary (even though they work the same way) they are covered by their own rule (the planeswalker uniqueness rule).

Seth, why do you keep a running total of games won/lost instead of matches? G2/3 are weighted more heavily than G1s, right? But a running total weights them all equally?
