As for me, I prefer thesis-based masters, not only because of all the opportunities / benefits attached but for setting foundation for a higher degree such as PhD.     Which type of masters degree qualifies you for co op and how many semesters makes a 2 years study program?

      2 years program is 6 semesters.
      If the program has coop, they will state it on the course website

    Thank you. I prefer research based masters but the problem is that I cannot gain access to many professors recent publications and it is one of the major reason I haven't sent any mail to any professor yet because I am told I have to cite their recent publication in my email. It's making me want to opt for course based program. Have you made any video that addresses this issue? I'd like the link, please. Thank you. 🙏

      You can use PUBMED, search the professor and filter using MOST recent paper

    Hello mr Peter,thanks so much for this well detailed video you made,please I need your advice on something,am a Nigerian but a resident in Dubai,I want to apply for a graduate course in Canada without thesis,am a graduate of agricultural economics and extension from LAUTECH,I graduated with a second class upper degree of 4.38 to be precise on a scale of 5.0,but since my graduation in 2012 have been into business with no job experience,also am not good at writing project that is why I will prefer a non thesis course,please can you help me with the name of a university that offers such non thesis course in Canada and the courses name,because have been searching for different graduate programs in different universities in Canada with no thesis but couldn’t get any. Thanks

    Research based. I have a pgd in chemical engineering 3.74 grade . My first degree is 1.98 3rd class chemical Engineering in Nigeria. Can I be considered for Research based masters in memorial university for Process Engineering.

      They mostly look at BSc qualifications for MSc applications
