Eventually it's not going to be realistic to have normal and "future" cars.
This show had an original premise that was actually quite interesting. In the show's universe people could choose to get their consciousness uploaded into a virtual world after death that had everything in the "afterlife" behind a data paywall and your living relatives had to choose to pay to give you data. His girlfriend at the time was a super rich heiress, who's family ran the main virtual afterlife company. We discover over the first season that her family had him murdered because he was on the verge of releasing his own revolutionary and, most importantly, free and open-source version of a virtual afterlife.
okay but that makes no sense. if this is how cars end up it is because it is both more safe and more efficient. the only way either of those changes is if someone like the guy in the clip hacks into it to take control. unless you plan on breaking the law (which I'd highly advise you not to admit on the Internet if so) then these will only benefit you in every conceivable way.
Thinking about how this guy would eventually get caught. If he took it in (assuming hed be charged if he doesnt), the mechanics would see command logs. Also police could look at cameras in other cars/areas to analyze his face. Also thats ronnie raymond from the flash
I doubt it's really possible, since he first "killed" the AI then used a controller to give commands. The only way to know would be if the logs showed where the commands came from, in which a device can probably frame it coming from something other than a USB port. Then the guy can just claim that the AI went "Rogue" which would be the most likely possibility. However, if this would happen many times to the same person, deeper and more thorough investigations will have to be made.
Broh theres no logs for direct input. Especially if you simply erase them after the fact. The AI itself said id hardly knew what happened, already hinting that any trace of what happened was erased or never logged.
I love the fact that they don’t make all the cars on the road future cars but have some current cars shown. I feel like that’s the biggest mistake SyFi makes when showing the future is to assume everyone gets the same new vehicle at the same time, when in reality the old phases out and the new phases in. Great attention to detail!!!
Well, you can argue that those are also super rich people who revamped an old model. Plenty of older models having complete bluetooth installations and even a few having stuff like park assist, parking sensors and cruise controll.

Do you know what the most common denominator in almost every single automotive accident is? Human error. People who think they know how to drive get complacent and get someone else killed. Just because you fear what you fail to understand, doesn't make the technology suddenly not viable.
