    When I was just very new to plants and first saw Cebu Blue, I was like it looks like a spinach but when I finally got one I realized it actually looks stunning the more you look at it. Cebu Blue is native to Cebu Island in the Philippines where its regular Epipremnum pinnatum sibling also thrives. I have seen many people got scammed with the regular E. pinnatum sold to them as Cebu Blue. Yours is very beautiful. Its leaves are healthy and very silvery bluish.

    This has been my dream plant for so long. At the end of last summer I finally came across a cutting for about 40-50 euros which I bought right away. Since then I have not been able to get it to thrive. Its been near death so many times. I overwatered it and it started to turn yellow leaf by leaf from the bottom up than vine. I got so nervous so I cut it of and put the cutting I miss in a large glas jar in sphagnum and have kept it in there ever since. I'm super afraid to take it out and plant it in soil, I don't want to loose it, but I can see its time for it to root in proper medium and get some nutrients soon. Your video is giving me courage to hopefully take that step soon. Thank you for recording and posting this 💜🙏🏼🌸☀️

    I was very fortunate to plant swap with a member of my local Pokemon Go community that graciously gave me a cebu blue plant cutting. This video was very helpful with how I should go about going from water propagation to soil.

    Just got a small rooted plant with yellow leaf tips (was 25CAD which is actually really good because it's still rare in Canada) and this guide has been really helpful. Hoping my plant thrives because I'm so paranoid and worried about killing it :') wish it was less rare because the foliage is literally the prettiest thing I have ever seen. Super jealous of people who live in or have been to Cebu that can see these beauties in their natural form 😭

    • @approachableplantsbyjessie495
      @approachableplantsbyjessie495  Před 3 lety +2

      I would love to have mine grow to be more mature!! The mature foliage is fenestrated! From what I understand, it really only happens in more native environments. I would love to see it someday😍

    Get some cutting of your cebu blue, put it on a rainwater to root, and change the water every 3 or 4 days, then when it has enough roots plant it on a soil and let it climb on a moss pole, and when it gets mature the new leaves will be having splits like the monstera deliciosa

    • @approachableplantsbyjessie495
      @approachableplantsbyjessie495  Před 3 lety +1

    @Jessie...As a heavy-handed waterer, I am scared of keeping transplanted plants moist after water propagation. That is my dilemma, so I need to try other rooting methods in place of water props. Your Cebu blues are beautiful. I would just love to grow even one good one. I have killed a few rooted cuttings and 4-inch ones by over-watering them.😏🌴

    • @approachableplantsbyjessie495
      @approachableplantsbyjessie495  Před 2 lety +1

      I totally get that! But keeping props moist after transplanting is very similar to regular watering. Look for the leaves starting to curl and go ahead and water. The difference is really that you’ll notice it happening a lot quicker than established plants!

  • @meme1065
    @meme1065 Před 3 lety
