A reference to "Calorie Game Music", since their channel has been deleted, therefore losing a lot of games OSTs.
I made sure to make the track go from vocals only to full dynamic, something CGM would do to listen to the full range of the score.
I've done "The Incomplete Stone" since it seems that no version of the track going from quiet to dynamic still exists on YT (and I was missing that).
Just picked up Replicant earlier this week and man, have i been missing out. Automata was my intro to nier and while it is great, replicant is just on a whole other level in every aspect. Lost shrine was the realization that this game is just different sonically, and just all around incredible. This track and the dynamic kicking in when the shades start coming was really the high light of the dungeon.
Automata and Replicant are like different flavors of amazing ice cream. Definitely recommend playing Automata again after beating Replicant and obtaining ending E.
Now it time for drakengard 1-3
Drankengard time but I recommend starting with drakengard 3 then 1 and 2. Welcome to the messed up world of Yoko taro.
Drakengard is so outdated, im playing 3rd, watched 1-2 lore and cutsecenes. Drakengard 3 is sexy, but you get loading time after loading time after loeading time, how people can play on consoles is out of my mind. Animals.
I much prefer this progression to the one on the official soundtrack, since the vocals on their own is how the player first experiences the song in game.
yea i think the OG version goes abit too hard almost immediately lol
All the more as the OST doesn't include the side instrumental part starting at 3:15
Oh my god. The intense feelings on the first chorus. I hadn't realised how much I've been missing this game
This is my favorite mix of this, thanks
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS! I remember listening to this on CGM’s channel and then looking for this song again one day and not being able to find it. This mix going from just the vocals to the full dynamic version is so beautiful and powerful, and is my favorite way to listen to this song. My only request would be to make both the vocal and dynamic sections even longer, but just having this the way that it is is already amazing enough. Thank you again for uploading!
I'm glad you like this version of the song, I find the evolution of the song amazing, going from deep vocals to a full orchestral score while you climb this massive tower, I was missing it to the point I said f*** it, I'll do it myself.
Same I remember sleeping while having this entire playlist up and one day being unable to find it and then I realized Square Enix took it down so this reupload is amazing. Thank you for preserving these gems
I've been looking for this version of this track for multiple weeks now. I was afraid i'd have to admit defeat and just listen to the normal versions instead, but then finally came across this one! Thank you for allowing me to enjoy this track to the fullest again!
I didn't think this song could get any better, but that added string part for the v1.22 is ... on a different level.
Dynamic is fire 🎉
Would you mind doing the same for Temple of Drifting Sands? I liked Calories version more than the original honestly.
If only this game was less repetitive, this could have been the best game in the world
God you are right
Is it just me or does Nier uses animations from MGRR? He runs exactly like Raiden.
No! I thought the same thing! It’s uncanny. Especially the running upward swipe.
Mgr director helped work on the combat
ρɾσɱσʂɱ 😍
Post a vid with only the dynamic version
where can I find it?
Should be the official
@@Verticom10 I dont think so. I like it that the music reacts on if you are in a battle or not.
@@jonathangerrits7697 czcams.com/video/pJm3RsAbksw/video.htmlsi=E-dr8t-p5zPjALlY hope the link works yet i doubt it. The official def has the drums throughout like where "dynamic" starts in this vid, however they are much louder which i kinda dislike.
Nier replicant ver.1.2247 was a great game, but it had Gameplay flaws and in that term I think nier automata is much better in terms of gameplay
Which flaws are you referring to?
@@IanWingThe Combat is vastly inferior, boss enemies are big HP sponges without any tactics involved. There's much less variety than Automata.
-Sidequests are grindy and repetitive and in 99% of the time they have zero impact on world building (in Automata subquests were important for overall narrative).
-Game is slog to play because of the overall game pace
-A lot of backtracking despite that game world is not even that big, and I mean A LOT because majority of the game is one big backtracking
-Despite game world is not that big developers managed to find a way to make fast travel as much inconvenient and frustrating as they could
-In Automata it was cool to find new places to visit thanks to new abilities or better skills that you gain playing the game, forget about all this in Replicant, game maps don't allow such exploration
-To obtain all endings you need to play game three times (thankfully you repeat your game from halfway point in the game because otherwise it would be unbearable).
-No chapter select option which is really bad when taking into account how much pain is to obtain all the endings
-Transitions from game to visual novel segments are poorly executed in some parts of the game
I mean, this is remaster of original game from 2010 - those flaws are unavoidable
i dunno if i agree.
what i do agree on tho, is that they were sort of limited in the battle gameplay since they couldnt make it too different.
I agree, the combat itself is boring, SPECIALLY in higher difficulties where common enemies are beefier than bosses in easy
I was struck in awe when I first entered the temple and heard the vocals, I stood still for like 5 minutes just listening, too bad this game was one of the most boring games I have ever played in my life
