So here is the final review from my end which can be helpful
Pros :
1.) 2 X HDMI input . You can easily feed the audio from laptop/HD Box/ Playstation Slim(which dont have optical output) using HDMI cable. It is next to impossible to hook a laptop / PS 4 to audio system to get 5.1 output in system that dont have HDMI input. Thanks to IV 300.
2.) Nice user interface in TV to calibrate the system audio and other settings. Its same as those in High end systems at this rate.
3.)1000w output. Woofer is huge with pleasing look. Bass is extremely thunderous.
4.)Main amplifier dont have CD tray making it more compact. Nobody prefers buying a CD for movies due to advent of flash drives.
5.)Dolby Pro logic works really well in bluetooth audio too which is outstanding feature. I noticed the singer's voice comes only from center speaker while musical background is assisted purely by surround speakers. This works even when i choose FM.
6.)My gaming experience is taken to next level due to this system. Again, thanks to its HDMI input.
7.) Many built in modes that allows user to create environment of his choice.
8.)Remote is too damn awesome. Works with my Bravia too

No need to put wooden bars or mount. There is already a 'Key hole' in the back of speakers. So you can easily mount it just on a single nail.

Anyways let me tell you in a prospective of user point of view although I dont have a PS4 but I did a enquiry and it results as below:
Method 1:
TV(HDMI ARC) -> IV300(HDMI ARC)
PS4 (HDMI) -> IV300 (HDMI 1)
Method 2:(Audio Only connection)
PS4 -> TV
optical cable (u need to buy) PS4 optical -> IV300 (optical)
1st method sounds good and more efficient as HDMI gives higher data rate delivery than optical .

I've been planning to buy this HT due to the only reason that it has 2 HDMI inputs which is lacking from all HT models at this price.
Doubt: I'm using Amazon Fire TV Stick (AFTV). Will I get true digital surround for Prime movies if I connect AFTV to one of the HDMI input? Have u tried or have any idea? I want to confirm if I will get true 5.1 and not stereo-to-5.1.

I'm looking at something around 35k but don't really need the Blu-Ray and all. Just a Good Set of 5.1 with an AVR with basic stuff like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and Maybe Hi-Res Audio. Have you checked Wharfedale or Polk or Onkyo ?
I only checked yht 196 vs sony ht iv 300. Very less retailers keeping sony & real HT for comparison. You can get real HT stores for comparison. In 35K you can get entry level HT from reputed brands. I will advise you to visit store and listen to them to decide your final HT.

Rajeev P.s All things depends on your dth output , if it is 5.1 ch(chk with ur dth provider) then it will be good surround effect that u will get from ht iv 300. And if u r expecting 4k output on tv u need to buy 4k dth box.

Hi Can u tell me why surround speakers are not giving much sound.. I have bought IV300 and i am feeling like sorround speakers either very quite or they sound very less..
When i do test of speakers it work fine..I can see all 5 speakers are working but when any HD channel is played i can hear more sound only from front speakers..
Level for surround speakers i kept 6 DB and for front also 6 db.. for woofer i kept it 1 DB..
+Raj Kumar Is your home theatre room is quite?Are you getting 5.1 input from your settop box?(display button on your remote should show that on screen)Have you tried any 5.1 ch enabled movie on HT via usb or blueray player?
ClearAudio+ is the only mode that will try to convert your 2ch to 5.1ch audio but thts like same sound through all speakers but not actual 5.1ch.
You will get sound through surround only if movie has effects. (Try fast and furious 6 opening sequence, where car passes from your right which can be heard prominently from right surround speaker )

5.1 ch effects are mostly in movies rather in songs.
Try to set distance as well in speaker settings.
Try some good movies to have actual 5.1 ch output

Let me help you with this.. if you can hold this query till sunday I have another video will be coming up between compassion between RT3 RT40 and IV300 ..and of course all are sony models as if you ask to change the brand I personally wont recommend .

Rahul V R Sony engineer himself cut and kept 1meter of surround speaker wire and joined it to my conceled surround speaker wires. Nothing was told that warranty will be void. You can check this point by calling sony customer care.

Prashanth Prash app need to installed on your phone. Its works but not that good. Rather u can stream songs via bluetooth thru any other music player

Dude, How was the YHT in comparison with tis one ? You didn't tell that . I tried it at a store yesterday and felt that the bass decreases as the sound increases. I haven't been able to find the YHT. What do u think about this ?
I felt yht 196 very flat compared to this one. May be they havent done all settings. Again I was testing aux input for yht-196 vs bluetooth input for sony.
Sony was better to my ear if compared.
In 35k you can easily real ht from yamaha, onko, pioneer. But make sure you have nice soundproof environment and patience to deal with all detailed settings in it. If not you can go for sony htib e4100(easy to set up, less configurations)

HT-IV300 can play your 5.1 ch mp4 movie/music from usb. Just make sure it is of good quality.
You require ARC hdmi port only when you want to play some content which is playing on tv [youtube video on a smart tv]
Your tv manual must have information if hdmi input is ARC or not. If not you need some other output from tv that need to be connected to HT-IV300 to listen content playing on tv.

You dont need Hdmi ARC connection if you are playing hd movies through usb via HT-IV300 amplifier. Flow is like below
USB input to HT-IV300 -> HT-IV300 hdmi output [5.1 ch music] -> TV input hdmi [for picture]

Onkyo is utter waste, because I spent 60k and no tight bass like iv-300. Yamaha and pioneer may be ok! But who will do the speaker matching? Why these companies are not telling the exact speaker? It happened me to buy a tower speakers around 70k and not performing well with my only. At the same time I saw some low level amp and speaker box made me surprised in punchy bass. So considering all these headache, Sony is 100 time better in bass taste. Because amp cost goes high as the bass quality go high!

Let me answer your query . That depends what is your use and I see in DZ350 it comes with a dvd player but IV300 doesn't have any player ,it has NFC USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
