It boggles my mind why anyone would feed a cat a vegetarian diet when scientifically they’re carnivores. Would anyone feed a bald eagle vegetables? The answer is no. No need to make them like us do to our beliefs
Could possibly soak up from my time spent watching videos on CZcams.... I appreciate you for all the content you put out and please keep it coming ma'am. You are beyond beautiful by the way
It's not very short, you need to consider the cartilage and muscles that make up a lot of the snout. It may be a bit on the shorter side, but not like a Persian or something
This is weird, but this actually happened yesterday (May 7, 2023). Me, my brother, and my neighbor took a small trip in the woods and found crazy stuff. Our parents didn't know that we did until after they asked how we found "it" (I will explain what "it" is later in the story). We went down a small trail and found a bunch of different bones. A skull, spine, pelvis, and fur. We found some other parts that we didn't have enough info to identify. The skull looked exactly like that. We also found a freshly killed mouse, and some type of vomit of an animal. It was crazy! When we got home, my mom asked what the skull was, and we said we didn't know. We did a quick google search and found out that it was a kitten skull. Poor cat and poor mouse. 😢
Aren't cats technically omnivores but probably with a preference to meat or does being an omnivore mean you can survive off of just herbivorous or just carnivorous diets?? Cause cats can't survive off of just vegetables but I know they like some of them. Basically what makes an omnivore, an omnivore. Can all omnivores survive without meat or without vegetables?
Cats are obligate carnivores which means their diet should consist of at least 70% meat. They have certain plant matter they enjoy to eat but it cannot sustain them as a major component of their overall diet. Think of the kinds of nutrients that are in a diet of plants vs meats. Fiber vs protein. An obligate carnivore (like a cat) needs high protein and will not be able to digest all the fiber that will come from a high fiber plant diet, where as an herbivore (like some tortoises for example) would not metabolise a high protein diet well, cause they aren't adapted to it. Occasional treats are fine though so long as they don't throw off that overall nutritional ratio.
@@mpapalionakis7816 I found out an omnivore than can survive without meat or vegetation is called a facultative omnivore. They prefer both but can live on either alone just fine. This was the main focus of my questions.

I love this type of content. It's the most interesting and relevant type of education I
Looking at my cat skull, why is the snout so short? What type of cat was that?
But yes I definitely agree with this video!

Thx for advocating for the cat’s benefit rather than some restrictive worldview
