Hey! I'm Alanna - a twenty-something documenting my life as a Canadian living in England.
I share the ups and downs of an expat living abroad and what it's really like living in the UK. It's not always easy, but there's been so many wonderful experiences, too. I post a CZcams video every Tuesday and an additional video every Saturday on my Patreon account. I also livestream every Wednesday and Sunday at 6:30pm GMT on Twitch.

When I stepped out of the house to dump some garbage, I noticed my neighbour talking with her cat. She seemed to think her cat understood everything she said. I went back inside and told my dog. We had a good laugh over that!!! Steve from Guelph, Canada.

Congratulations on reaching your first 60k 🏅and celebrating it with a truly EPIC rant about Starbuxiety. As a fellow anxiety sufferer I can empathise totally. On the plus side, the older you get the easier it becomes (at least it has for me) so something to look forward to 😀. For some reason I had this pop up in my recommendations, no idea why, I mean, I’m a middle aged male Brit that comes on CZcams to watch boxing and art - go figure. Watched out of curiosity anyway, stayed to the end, loved every minute. Life is so random.
I agree with what you say about being Canadian. I am from the north of England. I am not proud to be English but I love living in England after living in Mexico, Spain and Australia. Please remember you are American just as much as Mexican or Brazilian ! I am European even though Brexit would try to differ!! Love your chats, please continue and by the way when you drink beer you are lovely even though you snarl!! Haha
I think that I found your channel at about 1,500 subscribers. Now 60,000 - WOW! For me the attraction is that you are easy to be around, relaxing, and mildly ditzy (sometimes). Easssssssy listening. Just very pleasant to be here.
I was in the sub 500 subscribers, I can happily say, I love watching your channel. You can tell from watching your vids for such a long time that you are a nice person, you act naturally and that's what I Love about our adopted Canadian who has gone through too much bull from UK Immigration and look forward to your welcome return to the old country!

Hope the visa application goes well, we need you back home in England is very boring here at the minute, also we’ve had a chat while you was out of the country (organising a 60+ mill WhatsApp group was a bit of a mare) but consensus was you need dual citizenship, so just add that to your list of things to do when back in Blighty, stay safe!

Having been here since double digit days, I've always enjoyed the random and light-hearted theme to this. And, we're opposite in that she's moved to Britain from Ontario, and I'm here now (having roots/family) from England. This is just like watching my favorite thing having a good time and enjoying things.. And I appreciate the break it affords me from the 'day2day' of life.
Hope your getting on okay.. If I knew you personally. We would have having words over that call to Florida.. But I guess ya live and learn.

we are not good at the moment during this lockdown as we like to forward plan and know what the future is.

Glad you're safe and well! I totally get the Starbucks anxiety.. the rare times I go, I just ask for a medium in whatever and hope they are kind about me not speaking their language lol. YUM all dressed! those are my fav! And now I'm excited for iced capps!! It's also really cool seeing the Ontario location tag on your video! This is my first time seeing that on any youtube video and it's just a neat feeling because Ontario does feel like home.. but my heart is definitely pulling me to England. I enjoy listening to you talk about England and I've learned a lot from your channel. I also admire the balls you have to have made that move. I'm in my early 30's and I'm still trying to figure out how I can make that move. Anyways, I'm super glad I found your channel a few years ago because I can relate to you in a lot of ways and you're very inspiring so keep doing you! Enjoy Ontario and cheers!
I arrived just under 40k subscribers, pleased still watch them each week, now at 60k, amazing, keep going Alanna, you brighten up 60,000 people each week. I watch on my phone and it doesn't show comments, so I am currently on laptop and now catching up on comment posting. You need to do Merchandise, an Anyhoo and Let's Go T-Shirt (one on back, one on front), although I might get funny looks from my family if I bought one :)

Starbucks (even though I love it) really heightens my anxiety every time (even worse with friends) and I get a lot of second hand embarrassment (some movies I can't wait either). Some of my Family were born in Vancouver and they have been offended by being asked what part of the States they are from.
I know there is a lot more to to then what we see because you have to edit videos which can ages and also do your research on the subjects for a video

Second hand embarrassment - oh my word. I went to a stand up comedy gig once and one of the comedians bombed. It was 5 years ago and I still get anxiety attacks about it. Never going to another one.
