- edit: i forgot the superman clip in the video i uploaded 2 hours ago. thanks Firan25 for letting me know. 🙂
⚠️ This is old stuff ⚠️
this is a test. the complete video gets blocked by Warner Bros., but i added a 5 second "intermission" 8:12 to the video and it passed the bot review. so i'm testing to see if that works or if it just gets blocked later.

No matter how old I get, "Suuuuuupermaaaan....." will ALWAYS make me sob like a little bitch.
Me too
Fr, few are the movie that can make me cry, it's this one and bicenntenial man
That look of childish innocence on his face as he closes his eyes breaks me every single time. "Superman" * 8 year old me sobbed
I still sob
To think this masterpiece was done because the creator's sister was killed with a gun. And wondered what a gun would think if it had a conscience. "Superman" always just gets me. This is one of those moments that gets me even knowing Iron Giant lives. Not many moments can do that.
Woaw ! I didn't know this fact.. thanks for this, this is really interesting and i love this masterpiece even more now !
So he did it for family
The director of this film went on to create and direct both Incredibles movies. They really like that 1950’s-1960’s Sci-fi aesthetic
How about being mad at the monster husband that killed her and himself instead of the gun? He would have done it with a hammer, a knife or anything else if he didn’t have a gun.
@@KramericaIndustries-jd9cyI think the creator may have felt sympathy based on how the Iron Giant is portrayed. A weapon doesn't have a choice. It can be used to harm or protect.
In this What If scenario a weapon made to hurt humans sacrifices itself to save them.
I do love how the general isnt immediately, "stay out of this civilian. the military knows best/has its orders." He actually listens to what Dean has to say, and you can tell hes weighing his options
That's one of the things about this movie I appreciate - the military are NOT idiots! The General is not some arrogant ass! He's a reasonable guy. The soldiers, the General, even the fighter pilots who knock the Giant out of the sky and the guys on the battleships and the submarine that launched the missile - they're all working from training and doctrine - and are just mis-informed by the REAL villain - the ONLY one actually holding the IDIOT BALL in this film - Mansley. Once the General gets the real picture, he's on Hogarth, Dean's and even the Giant's side! You can see that in the salute he gives the Giant as he lifts off to go intercept the missile, his sad resignation and doffing his helmet in respect of the giant's sacrifice and the fact he sent that jaw hinge screw to Hogarth.
@@logandarklighter The General is a true patriot. He strives to do what's best for his country.
Holy crap! I just realized that's Marty Crane!
Best Superman movie ever
10:43 yep
7:40 If you look closely you can see the general giving a military salute to the iron giant.
Yeah. I saw that little easter egg on twitter.
This never fails to bring a tear to my eye. Such a great film.
“I want to be…Superman.”
To bad it was canceled it would have had a great second film.
The things a wise man fears: A night with no moon, a storm in the sea and the wrath of a gentle man.
That's a good saying
he was made a gun but he became who he chose to be, such a good message
The Iron Giant: "Hogarth, you stay. I go. No Following."
*Hogarth:* i love you 😢
To soon
"Suuupermaan"
Ain't no one, big or small, old or young, that didn't shed a tear watching this.
My childhood is and always will be pure with such amazing films like this one
Damn! Onions! Iron Giant Onions! Damn ''Superman'' Iron Giant Onions!''
Yeah, those onions can be unbearable sometimes.
It's hinted at more in a deleted scene that the Iron Giant was originally an alien war machine which explains his weapons.
Somehow though he crash landed on earth and had lost his memories.
Whatever metal he's made of seems almost indestructible so to counteract impact shocks his parts are separated with homing beacons so he can reassemble himself.
Emphasis on "almost" indestructible. I think part of his systems include both a "conscious" and "unconscious" ability to either anticipate impact forces or react to them instantly. If the system determines that survival overall would be best served by taking the hit and remaining intact it'll do that. But beyond a certain threshold it will decide to allow the linking force and the physical connecting linkages to "relax" and allow parts to be dispersed to lesson the kinetic, heat and other forces so that each individual piece has a higher chance of surviving as their own units instead.
How many action movies can make grown men cry? Iron Giant for one. Great movie. Greatly underrated movie!
this isn´t an action movie though

As a grown man, about to turn 60, I still tear up when he sacrifices himself.
“You are who you chose to be… Super man..” always brings a tears to my eyes..
I watched this movie so much as a kid I wore out the VHS tape. The sacrifice scene still brings tears to my eyes even now as a 28 year old grown man. If I have kids, they will watch this movie.
P.S. I can recite the lines by heart... I love this movie.
27 years old here. Same story. Came back to watch this and cried
I still have the original vhs, too bad vhs players are hard to find in my area lol
I think this movie shows perfectly the duality of a gun it can be used to create havoc but it can also mean the difference between life and death of dozens or even hundreds of people.
“You have given them an ideal to aspire to, embodied their highest aspirations… They will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time, you will help them, accomplish wonders”

Superman Is The Epitome Of Light And Hope
You can just about hear the giant scream as his arm gun powers up and it is haunting in a GREAT way!!!
This movie walked so that The Incredibles could run so that Ratatouille can cook. We need another Brad Bird animated masterpiece.
Also you should post Christmas themed videos maybe some reaction mashup clips from films like Home Alone or Bad Santa or Christmas Vacation as examples. Love the content! 👍🏻
Love the smirk on the general's face when he says "Like a good soldier"
This film is perfect.
This is the only movie to bring a tear to my eye and it is rightfully deserved. This is a masterpiece, peak cinema. If they ever bring this back to theaters I will be first in line.
I swear, Giant flat out smiles at the end, and nobody can tell me different.
Love watching people get emotionally wrecked at the end, such a great movie and mash up
It was a really cool reference when, in "Man of Steel", as Superman was flying up to break the World Engine, he closed his eyes and whispered "Iron Giant"
I do not remember this part
Tbh the general is the most rational character in the third arc of the movie. Which is rare in movies nowadays tbh
OMG this movie has a special place in my heart! My now adult daughter LOVED watching this as a child. One of our favorites from her childhood. 💜
To anyone who was hoping Kent got his just deserts, there are a few videos depicting Kent's fate if he was charged for his crimes, and let's just say that in every single one, he doesn't get to live.
What even is this movie?! Out of nowhere friggin master piece. Please NEVER remake this Hollywood, it's absolutely perfect just the way it is.
Tears your heart out with the "Superman" and then re-installs it with the ending! I think this is the best 2D animated movie ever made. Sooooooo good!
Saw this when I was babysitting my nephew...and shed a tear with him.

Dads be like..
this is not a movie is a masterpiece and a beautifull story about a kid and a robot be friends man.
Stellar scene was one of the greatest animated movies ever made, masterpiece film
That music when you see the leg and with that GLORIOUS LOUD Intro was SO gorgeous.
never fails to bring a tear to my eye., even in reactions
No one gets out of this movie without at least a single tear shed.
The iron giant is a classic Vin diesel. Does a perfect job doing his voice and it was magnificent, I think the only issue with the iron giant is that The man who wrote the book about the iron man Ted Hughes Die before he got a chance to See his book become a movie.
The giant came down to earth a villain, but he left the world as a hero.
This movie makes me tear up every time, even knowing the Giant lives and puts himself back together. There's only ONE other movie in cinema history that can do that to me, with another character who I know ultimately lives on - and that's Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan with Spock's sacrifice to save the ship and crew from the Genesis explosion by resetting the Warp Engines near the end of the film. That scene with Kirk when he dies and the funeral after. And THIS movie with "Soo-per-man..."
2:59 that blast is 100 times deadly than an atomic bomb
This movie gave so much more than we deserved. The fact that it failed at the box office is a travesty
This movie will always have a special place in my heart but I wish they made a second one.
Yeah the superman bit always gets me

@TheLordofthewolf I did..but I'm old.
I cried when I saw this movie
I feel the need to remind myself that the Iron Giant is voiced by Vin Diesel and to me it’s still his best work 😊
At the end of the day a robot had more compassion than a human
this is why my mom wouldn't get a microwave.
I vaguely remember reading the book Iron Giant 😊
omg i watch this movie as a kid on open tv and i never knew until now that he came back
one of my most favorite movies / cartoon.
Love this one so much
The Iron Giant dies
Everyone: 😭
Found out that the Iron Giant is still alive
Everyone: 🥲😆
Awesome video.
As I looked to Osmanthus from his eye dropped one tear. When asked what broke him he looked to the sky and said I have finally seen heaven. It was a sunrise in the dark, it whispered to me even in the silence. I was finally heard. - I Only Conquered Myself 1858
So a little back story here kiddos. When I was a kid. I was so obsessed with this movie I burnt out 2 VHS tapes of it cuz I rewatched it so much. a VHS is something I used to use to watch movies for those of you who don’t know
The novelization goes further, and not only does the Iron Giant reunite with Hogarth but people from all over the world mail scrap for the Giant to eat.
Goddammit the super man kills me every time he says it

A true hero. A brother. A protector. A friend 🧡.
Gets me every time.
I'm not crying I'm chopping onions
This movie deserves a sequel, and the actor that played Hogarth is now 37 so he could play an adult version of it.
Ah yes, my favorite Superman movie.
What a great movie made me cry 😢
This is the only movie I know of that makes me cry. 😭
my all time favorite WB movie.
even the General felt sad about the iron Giant
i love compellations of people crying
Best animated movie
Jr the first thing you need is 😊❤❤
Welcome back YoureMrLebowski 👊
Funniest thing with this movie is learning Vin Diesel was the giant's voice actor...
I wonder why this movie failed when it came out
This happens every time I see this one scene from the movie. 😭
The fact that we never got a sequel to this film is a travesty.
Yes…their tears, they sustain me….
Oh nah lmao
Aye i think the powerplant scene is also 👌 🔥
How can you not be romantic about superman
Ready Player One
Hey. How about doing the opening prologue to Finding Nemo like you did with Up?
We need The Sequel
I wish and I disagree. It's just too damn perfect and as much as I want to see another adventure I don't want it to sully the masterpiece that this is and doesn't get credit for.
@@TheDissident77 plus you just know if a sequel came out it would definitely suck ass
Easy sequel 30 years pass the iron giant finally gets fully repaired, with him being a scout the actual invaders come to earth and the iron giant and hogarth fight to save the planet
@@morbidangel2424 yeah no, let´s not do that
no need.
I couldnt convince my ex wife to name our first born Hogarth, good thing we had girls.

😢
Why hasn’t there been a live action remake or sequel to this movie?
Cool 😎 movie
Even though its not made to be one. I think with the tech we have now this could be a really amazing film converted to 3D. Not that it needs it. Still, I'm curious...
this movie / cartoon did not get enough credit
