Congrats to Scalextric on another great year of offerings. I do agree with some posts regarding Indycar. It’s been 20+ years since the last Scalextric Indycar was made. It would be great to see an updated modern version of an Indycar with Scalextric’s quality and attention to detail. Hopefully one is on the drawing board?
I'd imagine it'd be cost effective too, considering the modern cars run the exact same Dallara chassis. You could model every single car in the Indy 500 with just one tooling. Plus they run on street courses, road courses, and ovals, so the possibilities truly are endless
Would love to see Scalextric make a return to Indycar. With the sport reaching record TV numbers the past several years I would have to imagine this would be a better time to jump in! Also, with a new chassis well over due, maybe then we could see a new slot car?
Love everything. I got Ideal & TYCO TCR sets for Christmas in '77 - '80 thanks to my awesome grandparents. I prefer being able to change lanes and make very unique tracks. I wish they'd bring it back with cars as nice as y'all make. Cheers from America!
So pleased these older companies are still going. Had so many memories with my set in the early 70s........wonder how mamy remember the giant heavy transformer you had to power it. Bet you dont need one of them now.😂😂😂😂
The Jordan 191 is one of the most, if not the most, visually lovely Grand Prix cars, from the time when Formula One still existed. If that car has not yet been produced, a highly detailed model would sell like Marlboros at a Senna victory. The XJS, Land Rover and Brabham Fan Car are also choice additions.
Can Scalextric finally please please please please release full length track borders for a standard straight. NOT 2 half lengths as you offer now. P L E A S E !
Can you change the wheelbase on the latest McRae Impreza. The rear wheels do not sit right in the arches and will sometimes run. The wheelbase is too short for the body.
Just a couple suggestions for us digital fans out here, can you please add brake lights like with Carerra when you’re off throttle the brake lights come on.. secondly why the lack of affordable Arcpro sets?
Would love to review the beetle for you guys 😊 but I guess I wouldent be lucky enough to get one sent to me ...Ahh well ile have to buy one 😟 love those F1 cars and the Anglia, golf and land rover .😍
Some very nice cars, but nothing really aimed at the US racing fan and slot car hobbyist. The closest you come this time around is the #66 Beetle, which is raced here in the US, but good grief, the only reason I know that car even exists is that it shows up at vintage racing events from time to time. If not for that I would never know it existed, and even in its TransAm days, as now, it trailed around at the back of the pack. There are so many iconic American cars that raced and won in American events that have never been modeled as slot cars. Have you given up on the US market?
Yes! Indy Cars are as all-American as any form of top-tier open-wheel racing will ever be. We're told that F1 is making inroads into the US motorsports market, but I think it's very possible that it will turn out to be a passing fad, and in any case will probably never have more than 3 races a year in the US. And F1 will never race on ovals, which are, for the most part, a uniquely American form of racing. American auto racing in general is so different from that of most of the rest of the world, even accounting for the penetration it has made into some other countries, that any slot car manufacturer that wants to access the great untapped potential of the American market will need an America-specific product line as large as its entire existing product line. @@jakesmith6460

They are if - and it's a big if - the tooling designers are willing to research and create tooling for all the interchangeable parts needed to model cars configured for the different kinds of courses.@@jakesmith6460
Why has no model maker made models of the rover r8 range ie coupe hatch saloon ect and the 800 600 and the later 200 bubble and 400 hhr and the mg zr zs zt range? Yes there are corgi zt and sd1 models ect but nothing for the 100 200 400 600 800 ranges and not to mention the mg maestro and montego 😔 you said you want to make cars that people rember as daily cars ect 🤔 these are ower cars the only mass built truly British cars abide the Honda connection these cars are a very large part of ower history and have a huge following that's only getting bigger buy the month now but there's no models out there 😔 and given the market I'm absolutely sure sum one with a model making company is missing a huge trick 🤔😁

Guys in the plural is a gender neutral term so unless you identify outside of male/female/non binary/gender fluid how are you offended? Is there a 5th category of gender you identify as?
Ahhhh gonna need that Williams Racing Race Set! 😍
Glad you guys made that GTI 🙌🏻
Excellent catalog so far!

Will the 2023 livery puma be exclusive to the set or can we get one as a separate release
Seems that my leftover Christmas money now has a place to go 👍
❤Mk.1 GTI.
Alonso AMR F1 please Scalextric
The Golf MK1, Left hand drive Britsh registered?
Also J reg which was 1971 a bit before it was actually released
I had a GTI on a V registration which I think makes it a 1975. RHD with brake master cylinder on the LHS.
Just curious, will spare parts be available for the Williams F1 cars?
Scalextric, faça o F1 Copersucar F5A, por favor. Só no Brasil venderá 1000 unidades facilmente.

I would also add IndyCars to that list, both historic and modern. For the US market at the very least, it would seem like a no-brainer

The tool is another name for the metal mould the plastic is injected into.

A video from Scalextric with a narrator who can't pronounce Scalextric correctly. Where did the 'X' go? You need to take lessons from James May.
