Plot Summary
The film kicks off with a series of assassinations targeting members of Matrix's former unit. When his daughter Jenny (played by Alyssa Milano) is kidnapped by mercenaries, Matrix is forced out of retirement to rescue her. The kidnapper, Bennett (played by Vernon Wells), is an ex-team member with a vendetta against Matrix. He demands that Matrix carry out an assassination on behalf of a deposed dictator, Arius (played by Dan Hedaya), in exchange for Jenny's safe return.
Instead of complying, Matrix escapes custody and embarks on a relentless quest to rescue his daughter. The film takes viewers on a wild ride filled with explosive action scenes, as Matrix single-handedly dismantles the enemy forces. With the help of an airline stewardess named Cindy (played by Rae Dawn Chong), he tracks down the villains to their island hideout for a final showdown.

"Don't disturb my friend. He's dead tired." 😄
Legendary :D
How did he make the crunch sound?
@@misterbig9025 That wasn't a special effect, he actually killed him!! 😄😄
Great line.
@raymondbrereton3298 😄
"Can I have a blanket and a pillow, please." Those were the days.
"That'll be $57.00 please"
-Modern flight.
Well, not in first class
Not sure what you mean. I recently flew overseas to Europe with both business and economy class, and on both occasions a blanket and pillow were standard accessories you could request.
The score, the beat, the drums, those steel pans, the sound editing goes hard in this film. Every time the beat drops I get goosebumps. Classic film. The 80s rocked.
They were done by James Horner, who ruled 80s cinema soundtracks. Check out 48 Hours too. The opening piece and track during the bus chase are priceless.
Also interestingly: The dude here playing Sully, David Patrick Kelly, was also in 48 Hours as Luther. 48 Hours also had Sonny Landham. Predator had Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sonny Landham in it.
It's like an 80s movie ouroboros.
There's more connections but I always liked that one.
Oh, add Bill Duke to the Predator-Commando synergy.
Watch his arms lmao
That song at the end..’Somehow, someway’, aka ‘We fight for love’, performed by Powerstation is impossible to find anywhere.
@@goodbonezz1289It’s on the limited edition soundtrack release.
"Remember when I told you I'd kill you last? I lied"...😂. Love this movie.
Don't worry I let him go.
Poor Sully 😂
Момент угарный....😅
Any carry-on luggage?
Just him.
😅😂🤣
I ❤❤❤ love that part too😂
Lol.. I heard that too 😅
...Y le responde Enrriquez a John Matrix, la próxima vez que abras la boca, te la cerraré con un clavo.😮🤐😫
Ah the completely relaxed airplane security of the 80s. Not a locked door in sight
music haahahahahahaahahah
Airplane security always relaxes while Arnold Schwarzenegger is on board...
Nice wide seats too.
and no stupid customs people treating you like a criminal.
TODAY’S MODERN FLIGHTS. “Excuse me, can I have a blanket and a pillow?” - the entire plane breaks out in laughter!! 😂😂
nope, "that would be "$5.99 for the blanket and $1.99 for the pillow."
And then security accuses you of disrupting the flight and escorts you off the plane.
Its just 1st class now
@@EshafoTT there isn't a first class anymore. more of business class. still a bit better than economy.
@@tellyshonestreviews1293 2 years ago I took a flight Dubai - Kochi, "Emirates" had economy -> business class -> 1st class
That low-key simmering suspenseful “bebebebebe” sound effect is my favorite thing about this movie. It should follow Arnold wherever he is, so that when you hear in the air, you know he is there (and Sully isn’t).
Couldn't describe the sound better myself.
1:32 “Woman At Arms!”
Chelsea Field, definitely one of the most beautiful actress from the 80’s.
No kidding. She should have been Arnold's co-star instead of the insufferable Rae Dawn Chong.
@@Conan_the_Based that absolutely could had been awesome!!!
Still looks great at 67.
Mrs. Bakula.
1:34 11 hours on a flight from SoCal to Central America…are they routing it through Hawaii….😂🤯
Yet him and Rae flew in a puddle hopper in an hour. Yea, this Film had some major story line flaws but it was an "Action" movie, early in the genre; 1982. Looking for a Commando reunion movie? Not enough room for the Walkers and Scooter chairs on set. 🙄
Guys, he was headed to South America. And this movie was released in 1986.
@@thegreenerthemeaner
He did not go to Val Verde though, he went to Arius private Island.
@@airdriver Perhaps but looking at again, I see no reference to South America. In the 80s, Central America was the geo-political hotspot, so I believe that Val Verde was supposed to be in Central America. Still, it's just a fun ‘popcorn’ flick from my favourite decade, the rockin’ 80s.
1:06 I can't begin to tell you how many times I've imagined doing that to the person sitting next to me every single time that I fly 😂
I did it once. I’m now a lifer in ADX.
Even the little kids too cause their parents won't.
That's smart
You should do it next time you fly!
@backagain5216 How did you get a phone with service to write that comment, then?
The one liners in this film is classic 😂
I lied. 🤣
@@wonjubhoyDamn, beat me to it.
This "Western Airlines" was a real airline, unusual for movies. They still existed when this movie came out, before they were assimilated by Delta.
He's dead tired 😆😆 80's one liners were the best !!!
Love the background music
Later that flight…. “Oh shit, I get the ‘dead tired’ line now”
“Extinguish all cigarettes..” that’s something about flying that I don’t miss, cigarettes stinking up the cabin.
I'd take it over the stinkin feet and b.o. of today's slobs.
One of the greatest action comedy movies ever.
В детстве в 80тых смотрел этот фильм в видеосалоне ,это было ещё в СССР ,Шварц был очень крут,от него тогда пошла мода качать мышцы,многие в России хотели быть как Шварц.
Nice bad guys. Giving them first class tickets
He took the window seat though 😊
They have a $100,000 surplus since Bennett said they offered him that but he'd do it for nothing.
0:17 I always like that joke... :D
Somewhere, somehow..somebody's going to pay!
My next door neighbour and I do Commando lines from either side of the fence when we are outside and can hear each other. In our best Arnold voice one if us will say 'Bennet, what are you doing?" or "Cooke, what are you up to!"
Nobody heard the bang and crunching sound
Not my row, not my business.
@@ATRTAP LOL
It is not very loud sound
Of course they didn't - Matrix is silent and smooth, just like always!!
They must have been dead tired too
Didn't realize the Rev. Al Sharpton was in movies early on in his career.
That's Al $harpton. Spelled with a $ sign. He knows where he can hustle a few bucks.
How I love that time I was a child and I really liked this movie.
Как Шварц ему заботливо одеялко готовит 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Teela from the Master of the Universe 1987 movie!

Such a cheezy movie but just classic Arny

L-1011. Flew out of Macguire Air Force base June 76. Headed for Germany. That thing was packed with GIs in their dress uniforms. I was the only squid in my summer whites. Stuck out like a sore thumb. We had a freakin blast!
It's a DC-10. The L-1011's tail-mounted engine has its exhaust lower than its intake; the DC-10's tail engine has straight-through airflow.
Valverde now on my bucketlist 😎✈️
Imagine escorting a man against his will who you've got held hostage... and you open a magazine next to him in close proximity.
Not just that, but a guy who knows 100 ways to kill you with just that magazine, for starters!
The background score is amazing!

The stewardesses are so cute ❤❤ Her side look to Arnie at 0:20 😍
Reminds me of the line from that James Bond film. Bond is dancing with some lady and in an attempt to shoot him the bad guys shoot her. He asks, "Do you mind if my friend sits this one out? She's just dead."

even for Terminator it was an effort to put arm around big guy neck 😮
LMAO I'll bet he was dead tired, btw what was up with homeboys hair yo? 😂😂😂
Gets the window seat
The original script had Matrix say " dont disturb my friend. I elbowed him unconscious and then broke his neck so now he is dead". However, Arnie improvised the line and they left it in.
That Air Hostess was also in Masters of the Universe. Not sure what what else.

2:15 The Terminator (1984) reference.
It was very considerate of Bennet to put them in first class. Maybe that’s why Arnold killed him last.
Don’t blame Arnold for leaving. By the time rigor mortis sets in, the stench will be unbearable by the tenth hour
