Agreed.. I was 21 when I first saw the beauty.. I didn’t know what or how to feel and immediately starting crying. Nobody/myself has seen anything like it and the first time is surreal
Everyone should make the effort to see this at least once. Incredible. My wife had always been skeptical about a visit, however, when we took the short walk from the parking area to Mather Point and the canyon came into view, we both said simultaneously, "Wow!"

I was a Fred Harvey employee on the south rim of the Grand Canyon from 1976 to 1981--I had intended it to be a summer job after graduating college, but it ended up being my life for a half decade! The train had stopped running a few years before I moved there, so the train lines were abandoned, pine trees were shooting up through the tracks. The station was a hikers supply business. I was so pleased to hear when it was resurrected; I hope it has brought some life to Williams. After I-40 went through, the town virtually shut down.
I'm inspired to take that train ride now, next time we travel through that area!
We were so blessed and fortunate to get to do the train ride with the Steam Locomotive and the older cars! It was like traveling in the 1800s! Stopping to replenish the train with water for steam to keep going, made it so authentic! I will never forget it! So AWESOME!! Made the trip in Spring and Winter, so beautiful!!!
We did the train ride 20 years ago… great fun. (And realizing it was 20 years ago is in itself a shock!!)

We just took the train to the Grand Canyon last Sunday! It was great and Amber Rose was awesome! Highly recommended.

Williams is Amazing! And Bright Angel trail is great...I went with my daughter 4th grade field trip and requested the same teacher for my son just so I could go again 💙❤
Breathtakingly beautiful scenery, I was there in thanksgiving of 2015. We were in a camper at the KOA in Williams.

We took that train trip close to 30 years ago. It does my heart good to see that it is still running.
First class is similar to Amtrak (LA-San Diego) that includes snacks and drink. Probably we will drive our own vehicle to Grand Canyon.
A real pleasure to accompany you where one of our very great musicians went in April 1928. For sure he took this train

Thank you so much for the video last week on the Grand Canyon Railroad and RV park, in Williams,AZ. We're on a cross country camping trip for 2 months, and just happen to be passing this way. We're here in the right place and at the right time! We made last minute reservations for the train and snagged a last minute cancelation for 2 nights at the camp ground.

We had planned to boondock at the Grand Canyon on BLM land. This was a nice surprise!

We were in the Grand Canyon and Williams 5/2-5/7. Wished we saw this video to take the train from Williams. We had a blast at Bearizona in Williams instead.
I would love to do the train! I'm with Cheri.. mountain tribe is a nice place to visit but my heart lives in beach tribe zone. 😁
If you ever get to Amish country in Lancaster County, PA, you must ride the Strasburg Railway and visit the museum. It’s not as spectacular as the Grand Canyon, still a must-see if you visit the Philadelphia/Lancaster area!

Pullman Standard, where they made the car you rode in is just about 20 miles from where I live. There is not much left of the plant sadly. Butler Pa is the city.
My dad worked at the Pullman standard in Butler! Small world! We were from Ellwood city PA!

I think this is a wonderful way to see the Grand Canyon on this date May 10, 2021 we may see the removal of the mask requirement. Two masks are ridiculous one mask is enough and to remind people of what we’ve all gone through for the last year and a half might be respectful to remove them at least when you’re filming Thomyt
Dang thew train is better than Amtrak, friendlier than Amtrak too. Likely better food and drinks as well.
I lived i Williams about a year in the RV Park next the rails.
Kind of off my charts these days as I now live in Costa Rica And no drivers license in over 6 years as unneeded. Hard getting to Williams without your own car. But recommend an overnight stay at one of the Park Lodges.

That may be the same rails we took to go into the Grand Canyon in 1960 with the Boy Scouts going Colorado Spring for the Boys Scout Jamboree and Ike as president showed up

I’ve done the Polar Express train ride 7 times with my family but now I’m going to have to talk my husband into riding the train to the Canyon.

I live in Williams. I wish I was in town last weekend. It would have been fun to meet you. I have been living here for 5 years and it is a great place. Yes, I'm a California transfer. I live 8 miles north of town and hear the train everyday.
It is great that the tourist are back. This little town survives on the tourists.

Loved our Grand Canyon trip. We stayed at the rv park at the depot. They had a show early before we boarded yhe train. Well worth it.

If you have kids you have to take the "polar express" in the winter.it was so much fun, and the canyon is awesome with some snow.
Awesome, We didn't take the train ride which we will next time. We stayed at the Village Trailer Park of the Grand Canyon and the stay was absolutely wonderful. About an hour ride on the 64 north of the interstate 40 off Williams. Great video!

Two masks??? LMBO! Masks outside? Drove last year, Train pulled up at Grand Hotel as we got there. We had train envy. Headed back this summer, will try the train. This was a great review. We ate at the restaurant and it was excellent.
I know. I was at the gc Saturday. I will not wear a mask especially outside. Ignore the signs. Its been 400 days. Breathe people. A lot of people where mask free in the GC. Its good to see faces. Just stay away from the gift shops. Williams and Bearizona mask free too. Hope you get to see Williams this summer.
Not our call as to why he wears two masks. Two things did come to mind though: He is diabetic & Covid tends to be more severe in men.

A re-enactment of a train robbery, on a train that resembles one in the wild west days. That is awsome. Better to go now or in the Fall before it gets to hot or after it cools down again.

Enjoyed Williams n the train ride both- next time check out the north rim - lot more wildlife n a really neat old lodge built back in the 1930s n not so crowded- lots of good restaurants in Williams!

I love the Grand Canyon Train. We stayed the night at the Grand Canyon, so we had a full over 24 hours up at the rim.
Question, how much of the Grand Canyon National Park INSIDE the buildings is open right now? When we went a number of years ago now, there were all kinds of gift shops and neat indoor places to explore. Are those places opening up again?

it is beautiful, but I'm with you the first time I took my daughter to the Grand Canyon I could not get close to the edge and when she wanted to look, I grabbed her back belt loop and laid back to hold her securely from failing
